The Titanic Journey 7-8/15: Lower decks and hulls of the stern

[ Previously… Unboxing - 1 Base - 2 Skeleton - 3-4-5 Showcase and hull - 6 Lower deck]

This is slowly yet nicely taking shape! It’s a slow and pretty fun build. It comes with a lot, and I mean A LOT of tiny little parts! But it’s worth the effort since it means the final build will have plenty of details.

I really like how the red, black and white flexible parts for the hull are coming together and fitting in their ways! It’s also nice that F1 (the white long part that covers around the corner of the stern) comes with a replacement, just in case it breaks during the turning around process! Mine didn’t, phew! But I understand how that can easily happen if you’re not careful enough.

Much of what I’ve just built won’t be really “showcased” since there are more decks and buildings over it, but they’ll be seen through the tiny windows and spaces of the hull. It’s an intricate amount of parts and details that is pretty overwhelming in the best of ways!

Oh, one advice if you’re thinking of buying this one! The Titanic kit doesn’t come with one of those tool pieces that other kits provide you with, but I really think it would be helpful if you keep or borrow one of those from other kit for this one, specially when it comes to pressing those tiny parts to properly fit them between each other an on the deck areas. This specially happens when you have to fit a part in a hole that is surrounded by other tiny parts you’ve already fit, so your fingers may not work that properly there! It won’t be impossible, but it’ll be harder :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m overly excited around this build, I just can’t say it enough!

I’m definitely building further tonight. I’ll keep you posted! Oh and I’ll be sure to start thinking on how to add my own Jack and Rose to the bow @Orangesareus!

BONUS TRACK

It has absolutely nothing to do with the Titanic, but I just wanted to share with you guys that I’ve just received my first ever Book Nook kit! (I didn’t find it necessary to create another different post just for that) It’s the one and only Bookstore. Tbh it wouldn’t be my first pick if it were for my own home decoration/showcase, but my brother is a librarian an this is meant to be build as a Christmas gift for him to put somewhere in his shelves between his books! I’m sure he’s gonna love it! So I’ll soon find out how this Book Nook crafting world works :stuck_out_tongue:
