Well then! I’ve taken my time to properly assemble the skeleton which will hold the whole of the Titanic, which is consequently being hold by the base I’ve built in Step 1. This is already looking good! And once you’re done with this you’ll already have a visual idea of the length and width of the build. The skeleton structure is pretty long actually! Just a little bit more than the full build of the Seahorse Barque. It’s gonna look gorgeous, I’m sure of it!
You’re supposed to build the skeleton the way you would expect it to be built (with those triangle-ish shape parts fit all the way along the base part of it). The lower section of the hull is a really clever build I think. It comes in the form of some thin and long red parts which are thin and flexible (so they won’t break by bending them) with many holes and a pointy end on one of the ends; that pointy end fits in the bow/stern and from there you’ll fill the holes with the corresponding “pointy” parts of the skeleton.
You may have seen that some parts of the skeleton (to be more specific, the three red ones in the middle of the white ones) have only one arm up instead of two; that’s because that’s the place where the showcase room will be. I’m supposed to start crafting that room in the following steps! It makes sense, doesn’t it? To first build that room so then I can keep building the rest of the ship around it.
Some of you know I’ve never built a Miniature House yet, so I guess that little showcase room in the Titanic will be my first approach to the mini-furniture I don’t know if it’ll come with the same crafting “system” or not though. We’ll see next time! Which will be in a few days sadly.
I’ll keep you posted! This is looking AMAZING so far and I’m loving this build even more than I expected
You know I really love your long post because it makes me feel like I’m building it myself and am part of the process so thank you! I saw how the show care room looks like and I think it’s a really cool feature!
Also for the first photo I had a quick look in the dark so I thought you’ve already finished! Only to realise it’s the Seahorse at the back lol please save my poor eyes.
Yeah, I also think the showcase room is a cool feature, and it’s also an original one! I’ve never seen before a model of a ship (or any kind of vehicle for that matter) that comes with an “out of scale showcase of the insides” for you to enjoy. Lovely.
OMG haha you know the funny thing? I was doubtful to take the picture that way because I wasn’t sure if it’d be easy to visually separate each build
This is looking amazing already! The skeleton really gives a sense of how impressive the whole build will be. Love following your Titanic journey, Eloy!
This looks like it’s going to be fun! Thank you for sharing the detailed explanation, and good luck into you first foray into miniature house building!
As usuall they made the structure in such a smart way and able to do for everyone. I love that youbsre experiencing new things. I love reading your posts.
