EDIT: This update has been renumbered to step X/7 since I built the mechanisms the wrong way so I had to restart them, so this topic became kind of pointless you may want to jump to the proper next update instead.

Hey there!

I hope you guys enjoyed your weekend! I surely did. My weekends are usually far from the internet (that’s why I have lot of homework here when I come back every Monday ), and this one wasn’t the exception. I got to celebrate my Birthday with my family:

I’ve also enjoyed a fun monologue by a Spanish comedian/influencer that took the chance to make everyone there sing Happy Birthday to me and then of course he made a bit of fun of me regarding the occasion

And I even enjoyed some me-time in order to properly finish season 3 of You on Netflix (what a crazy season finale, OMG)!

Oh, and that cheesecake. That cheesecake was from another world OMG.

But hey, I guess you’ve opened this topic to see about the ship, not about my birthday mumbo jumbo
I didn’t have much time for it but I did proceed with kind of half of step 6/7 through which among other things I’d be building what I assume are the moving mechanisms that will help the oars row. This thing here was a bit complex to put together, but the buildint process is actually pretty smart!

For the whole mechanism there are actually a couple of holes in one of the sheets of parts to guide and help you with it, wich I found pretty dope and smart! (So glad that I wasn’t done yet with H parts and threw that away lol

It’s a really well thought detail in order to align parts properly and help you putting them together:

And that’s how both of them connected look like afterwards!

I’ve been “playing” with it a bit and it seems like that’s the mechanism that will make the oars row indeed. At least on one side! Because I’ll need to build a similar mirrored one for the other side. That’ll be tomorrow though! Too many emotions and too intense a weekend. I need to rest a bit!

Aaaand also to keep working in order to pay my rent, my food… And, you know, my Robotime kits

The best moment is when I get to spend time with my family too. Took my mum to watch Shen Yun show yesterday as it was the last day. We had a lot of fun.

Yeah, I need to add those mechanisms and wheels to the ship, and also the shields, put the engines and wires together, and add the oars to the equation.
