Previously…
Okay, I’ve gotta confess something. I feel really… Weird? Bad? About posting an update when I haven’t done a lot. This will be such a small improvement from yesterday! But I didn’t have time for more, and I just love to share my progress with you people, as little as it may be. Am I forgiven?

I’m so eager to keep properly building my Romantic Venice Book Nook, but this week is just so hectic at work and I’m just so tired when I make it home. Then I have to clean, and cook dinner, and cook lunch for the tupperware for the next day, and eat my dinner, and watch something, and… Well, you get the point ![]()

But I always try to find some time to relax and build before bed, as short as it may be sometimes. I do promise the incoming updates will be longer!

(Well, that’s also because I like to do one step of the manual each time, and steps 1 and 2 are so short lol. The incoming ones are longer, you’ll see!)
Anyway! For step 2 we’ll be taking the first steps on decorating one of the walls of the Book Nook (not sure yet which one lol), so this is what’s needed for it:
Oh, I think I never told you guys this, but… I see many updates and photos from other people having their proper workspace, their building mats, their decorative showcases, and I’m just always building my kits on my sofa little tables. It makes me feel so amateur ![]()

I’m comfortable working there, what can I say lol.
Well, the first thing I had to do is this tiny… What’s this? A window? A door? I guess I’ll find out soon enough! Or later on at least. It can be easily opened to the front or to the back as you can see, which is nice.
The only problem is having a door without a place that will lead to! What’s the worse that could happen?

Actually, that door/window/thingie fits in one of the walls! That’s just so cute. I’ve always loved the designs printed on the outer side of the walls of any Book Nook, they’re usually gorgeous. And yeah, there are so many thing to fit in this wall! But we’ll get there. Not today (mostly) though.
So after fitting the door, it’s… It’s sticker time! Yay. Those stickers look so nice and detailed, but it’s a bit tricky to stick them properly and align them to the space they’re supposed to fill, not one inch of deviation in any direction.

So yeah, those three images you see on the wall weren’t originally printed there, they are stickers!
I guess they’ll look better once the wall is properly decorated around them? Right now they just look so randomly alone in an empty colourless space ![]()

That’s a problem we won’t work with today, sadly. There’s only one remaining thing to do today, and that’s giving the first sticker some life.
So we’ll add a small ledge and some columns to it. Now that’s something else ![]()
I woudn’t expect columns to go there, but this is Italy, isn’t it? Italy was mainly built by Romans. And Romans looooooved columns. So much. You have absolutely no idea how much, actually. Trust me, I’ve been there.

So… Yeah, sadly this is it for today. Tomorrow I’ll do my homework! Don’t hate me too much. ![]()

See you/read you around!
