Well, sadly I’m kind of cursed with Amazon and 90% or so of my deliveries get delayed for some reason. So yeah, it seems like they want me to keep waiting for my Cuckoo Clock a few more days… Yikes. I’m gonna have to go buy a smaller kit somewhere in the meantime
it feels so weird already to spend many days without building anything or sharing it with you guys.
As some of you may know by now, I’ve moved to a new apartment a couple of months ago since my break up and I’ve been slowly making it my own. Besides Robotime, I do have a serious problem with the Funko Pop figurines
and I’m a nerd of soooo many things, as you can see. So my wallet gets pain from two completely different fronts that compete for some space in my living room.
So I’ve though of sharing my living room display with you guys while I wait for my next kit to build! I have few kits at home actually, since some of the ones I’ve previously built were gifts (the Dream Gift Factory for my parents, the Glittering Water Lilly Wall Art for my mum, the Classic Carousel for my ex-parents-in-law, and the Bookstore Book Nook for my brother). But! Besides that, they’re all here with me. I don’t have any of those big shelves/furnitures covered with glass, I’ve been more… Simple and traditional, let’s say, for now? ![]()
Let’s take a look around.
Firstly, next to the sofa I have a small three-levels shelves. Besides a couple of Birthday cards from last year (my friends and I like to make pranky-like customized ones through Canva
), my little Khaleesi-dragon-eggs candles, my little horse (oh, what a backstory he has, but I don’t wanna bore you guys) and my cow-shaped piggy bank (I love Asturias, a province of Northern Spain full of nature and, you’ve guessed it right, cows), I’ve used this space for the Titanic, my small wooden kits and my one and only Miniature House, the Cheers Bar & Dining.
Now we can move on to the sofa tables. Hand to hand with my beloved Tangled Funko, I’ve decided to decorate this with my Rowood Camomille flower set. Cute, isn’t it? (And yeah, I have a lot of Funkos under and over the TV, you’ll see
a lot of them are still in their boxes since I haven’t found a proper place for them yet, lol).
Okay, let’s look over the TV now for the last showcase spot! The big furniture that way:
So on the left side we have the not-Robotime Mordor Book Nook! And yeah, I refuse to hide that Santa on a Sleigh pendulum build just because it’s not Christmas. So what? Is Santa not allowed to be appreciated if it’s not December? C’mon! Be nice to the old guy. It’s not his fault.
Yeah, I had to increase the light on this picture, otherwise you wouldn’t see anything inside of that dark nook ![]()
Last but not least, on the right side we have the other not-Robotime LOTR kit, the Minas Tirith Book Nook. And in the corner, protected by your one and only Jack Sparrow and a jar of sand Davy Jones wouldn’t dare to touch, my dear and majestic Seahorse Barque.
It took me a while to decide on this display, to be honest! And I keep switching some things around from time to time. Would you have done anything differently? Let me know! I’m always open to suggestions regarding decoration.
Also, I’m thinking about ordering this, both for my remaining Funkos and incoming builds:
Idk, I think it’ll look great in the corner between the TV furniture and the window. We’ll see!
What about you guys? Wanna share your home displays if you haven’t done that already in your previous topics? I’m always curious about how everyone does this.
