Could anybody remind me that if I had an hour to spare, I could just take a walk around the closest park or something? But no, I had to step in that stupid sexy store that has a lot of Rolife kits on display.

You know I’m more into wooden puzzles and mechanical builds in general, but… Book Nooks also tend to catch my eye, and I’ve been eyeing the Venice one for a while now. What can I say? I love Italy, I’ve been there around five times, and I can’t get tired of it! Venice is a city I sadly haven’t visited yet, but I’m eager to go there. And in the meantime… Why can’t I bring Venice to my home?
And yeah, as you may have guessed, that was the excuse I built in my head at that point ![]()

So yeah, folks. This is my next build
unexpectedly, yeah. But I was also kind of looking for something… Less time consuming to make? Since Easter is after the next corner and, since it’s Holly Week here in Spain and we’ll be on a week-long holiday, I won’t have a lot of time to build the incoming days because of plans, plans, plans. I like to have a life, what can I say. Even if it’s not as interesting as you may think. I don’t have many people to rely on ![]()

ANYWAY. Let’s stop boring you people with my life.
I’ve quickly checked the manual and it comes with 9 easy steps, so as short as some of them may be, I may even do one single step each time. No promises! It takes me no time to sit and build longer than I was planning to, which means less time to sleep ![]()

So this is what the Romantic Venice Book Nook box includes:
This is the first time I open a kit that includes a dust cover. Yay! I won’t be needing to be like Cinderella cleaning all my kits every week with this one.

So for the first approach to this Nook I won’t be touching the wooden sheets of parts much, I’ll only be building the small gondola that’ll take us through the canals in Venice. Today I don’t have much time, what can I say. But hey! It’s better to do a little something than to do nothing at all.
This is what’s firstly needed for said gondola (that’s such a funny word to pronounce lol):
I mean, the boat itself is right there, and those other pieces are just meant to easily fit in there. As I like to say…

And here’s the result:
The materials for this are so nice and firm to the touch. Or as I said about the book in the wooden blooming book, it’s…

Man. How can I waffle on this long about making a single boat? Is that considered a skill? Should I add it to my resume?
Well, this is almost over. We only need to add… A few small flowers! FLOWERS! You know I hate paper-flower crafting with all my heart.

NO NEED TO PANIC! These are plastic flowers, no paper ones.

So I just needed to take the following:
Cut some of the greenie tops, stuck the flowers in them:
And roll some double-sided tape to the tiny stems in order to fit them and make them stay at the back of the gondola:
Again, easy peasy! Although not sure why this time the small cuts of double-sided tape were breaking all the time, it took me like eight of them for three single flowers lol. I may be just using glue next time!
So… Yeah, this is it. I apologize for the small update! I’m pretty tired today, my boss took a leave from work for a couple of months so now I have twice the work to do or more. Yay!

You won’t get rid of me that easily though. Hopefully my next update on this will be longer (besides the random gifs I bring to fill it lol). I’m overall excited about this Book Nook! I’ve been willing to buy it and build it for a while now. Hopefuly after Easter I’ll have my free time back and I’ll finally get my hands on that Cuckoo “Eloy is always taking about it and NEVER building it” Clock.

Anyway. See you/read you around!
