This is it, folks! The last one, the final update on my Cheers Bar & Dining!

Finally, after all the “craft things separately” progress, everything will properly come together. Yay! I was so excited to finish this kit and today is the day :star_struck: the “assemble the build” last process was pretty easy and straightforward actually, so I won’t be writting thaaaaat much…

I think. Who knows. You know me

Okay, so this is what we had so far. Everything that remains, everything that is coming together for the final act:

Not bad, huh? So let’s begin (or, as Hollywood and many books like to call so many things, the beginning of the end) with the plants. I’m finally using that bag of moss. It has a interesting texture, let me tell you that! Kind of… Relaxing?

First things first: fill those flower boxes under the windows with small cuts of it. It looks better than expect in there! Not sure if you appreciate it in the photo. Oh! And that weird and misterious black circle thing hanging on the top of one on the windows ended up being a pot holder. There we go!

Then I had to add the remaining and beloved flowers of the devil to those flower boxes. I’m not gonna say they look thaaaat smoth, but it does the trick, doesn’t it?

Okay, flowers out! What’s next? It turns out that long dark-green hard-ish rope is gonna play as some sort of creeper growing from the ground to the ceiling. It took me a bit to actually give it some sort of shape and properly hang it up there without the whole thing looking weird, to be honest

By the time I was done it still had a… Weird, look? But I knew the remaining moss was going on top of it so I let it be.

And, in fact, the moss indeed did the trick! I had to give it a bigger and more extended shape with my hands so it’d properly cover the ceiling, but I really like how it looks and also how it covers the fake creepers and the parts holding the ceiling decoration and the wires. I even let an extension of it kind of grow up the wall from the ceiling so it’d feel slightly more realistic:

Okay, now we are 100% done with the plants situation! It’s time to finish decorations, furniture, and open service for y’all! So you should start thinking about your order

At this point, I’ve just decided to stop using the double-sided tape and become, for once, a friend of Glue. Do you know Glue? He’s messy, but nice. I’ve recently bought this small bottle of “glue you can brush” which is pretty convenient, easy fo apply exactly where you want to, and it doesn’t stick to my fingers. What about that? I may be joining the glue defenders now

It’s something kind of like this, but different brand and brush:

So yeah, some final decoration details on the side wall were in order:

And finally, the bar, the table, the chairs! Everything is coming together! It’s also clever and nice the order the manual prompt you to add things to the main structure, kind of doing a circle with them, so the furniture or details you’ve already added don’t make it harder to add the next one:

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand…

Voilà!

Cheers Bar & Dining is finally finished, done, clean, and ready for business

I honestly LOVE how everything came together, how clever and detailed the build is (ignore the paper flowers, they’re not a part of this conversation  ) and how satisfying the whole process is. While I still prefer the wooden puzzles (I haven’t reached the level of satisfaction adquired while crafting the Seahorse Barque, the Dream Gift Factory or the Titanic, for example), this has been my first Miniature House ever, I’ve enjoyed it a lot and it definitely won’t be the last one I order.

The next one (whenever that is) will most likely be the Magic Study, mainly because when I bought Cheers Bar & Dining at the store, I also saw the Magic Study and I was trying to decide between those two  I remember choosing Cheers but giving the Magic Study a strong I’ll be back for you look

That’ll be my next Miniature House, but not my next build. That spot has been taken for what feels like AGES by the Cuckoo Clock, that finally arrives tomorrow! So I’ll get on with it next week. As some of you may know, I don’t usually build during the weekends. I’ll be coming to see what you guys are up to though!

BONUS TRACK

Some of you may remember something funny during my Dream Gift Factory building process last year. More specifically, I’ve lost one of the turning toys that went flying due to a test accident, only to find out days later that it was stuck under the rotating Christmas tree

Well, something slightly similar happened here lol. If you remember (or wanna check it by any chance or for any reason), the black tube that was supposed to cover the wires and make the light hang from the ceiling was nowhere to be found, and I wasn’t even sure it was in the kit to begin with since I looked everywhere (or that’s what I thought) for it and never found it, so I had to use some black tape instead and try to give it a proper and straight shape. Well… I found it. Today :face_with_bags_under_eyes::rofl: Two hours after finishing the build. WHAT. Is this a joke, universe? What was this tube doing under my bed? That’s meters (also, a hallway and two rooms) away from my workplace.

My brain just exploded, and I don’t think the mistery will ever be solved… But hey, at least now I have a spare tube for whichever future kit that may need it. Yay  (I mean, am I gonna go back half the way and remove almost everything from the structure and the ceiling just to change a black tape for a black tube? Gigantic NO  )

I’ll be reading checking with you guys do this weekend, and in a few days I’ll start giving you my Cuckoo Clock updates  stay tuned!

See you/read you around

This article is very detailed. I really like your comprehensive articles.

Great review of your final build. And I have no clue about the mystery of the black tube. :face_savoring_food:

Nice build.

Thanks a lot!

Yeah, that’s not solvable sadly hahaha

Thanks!

Anytime!

HAHA! on finding the missing tube. Your model turned out fantastic! I can totally understand you frustration when dealing with moss. Double sided tape is the bomb for many things. Moss is not one of them. This is exactly why I glue, super glue, double sided tape…all of them handy.

youre welcome

Haha you found the tube omg i almost died laughing.

Well, don’t ask me how but I’ve actually added the moss to the ceiling with double-sided tape

I’ve used twice the cuts of tape prompted by the manual though. I didn’t want to risk it with glue for something like that.

I can imagine hahaha

I always tend to use more than required as well. I save every bit of leftovers for other kits also.

Congrats on completing your first miniature house! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: You’ve done a great job there. Haha sometimes my things are nowhere to be found when I need them and then appear after a few days when I don’t longer need them.

Looking great.

I’m learning to do that also, yeah. Those bits and parts can come in handy in the future.

And I guess that’s even more important for someone like you, who customises and adds more crafted stuff from scratch to the kits :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s exactly what happened to me, it was slightly frustrating and hilarious at the same time

Thanks for your words!
