📖 [Rolife Journey] Cheers Bar & Dining, Day 3: Drinks and walls

Day 2: The door, the bike and the windows

Let’s keep going with this Miniature House first of mine, folks! I was thirsty today, which conveniently translated in the assembly of the wine bottles and cabinet. The tiny cute wine bottles received their convenient stickers…

But and as @Jerry_Boswijk knows I like to unvoluntarily customize my kits, so one of the white wines received by mistake the wrong label. Oops!

Of course a man can’t just have his bottles of wine standing there without a sense, so it was time to put the wine cabinet together. I really liked the wooden colors of the parts here, it really felt like actual furniture wood.

Ah, my friends the double-sided tapes. What would I do without them. I know a lot of you guys prefer glue over tape, but I’m special

The cabinet looks SO good! I really love the touches everywhere. It never ceases to amaze me the level of details these kits have.

And well, I was supposed to stop here for now, but… What can I say? I’m not working today due to a lower back issue but I can comfortably sit on my soft cushion, so I took the chance to put two walls together instead of, you know, just standing there watching TV and complaining about my back as my grandpa would.

Well, to be fair they’re not together yet. It was basically a decoration process involving a lot more of those double-sided tapes. Tapes, tapes everywhere!

Before the tapes:

Aaaand after the tapes:

Have I mentioned how much I love the attention to detail? Of course I have, but it’s never too late to say it again. You know, a lot of those frames and menus and stuff could just be printed on the wall like the others, but the nice touch of relief on the walls truly makes a difference.

And well, I’m stopping here for today! Or for now, at least. Who knows what the evening will bring :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth: but this is Spain, it’s almost 2pm and I’m hungry. So I don’t know about you, but I’m gonna take good care of my delicious tortilla de patata. Yeah, it’s a cliché. But we love it  we just can’t help it. It’s soooo good, even being so simple as it may seem.

Anyway. See you/read you around!

I know right? And yet, so realistic!

Ok how do you stay thin eating that? Darn that looks absolutely delicious. I can see I would be in trouble there! No clue what its all about but it sure looks good!

The tortilla looks delicious though I haven’t eaten it yet. Looking great so far. It’s great the wall has already design since I’m not a fan of putting stickers on the wall due to my ocd. I can’t stand it if the stickers are not straight so it’s a good thing.

That’s my secret… I’m not that thin anymore

No clue about what I’m building or about the dish? Haha

Well, yo do have to stick some paintings and stickers to the walls. But they’re pretty easy to align since you have lines/squares marked as a guideline.

You’re welcome.

About the dish! I know what your building as I really pay attention and look and read. That I am all good with. It is that dish! Yum

Oh I see. It’s great then since some of other kits don’t have that guidelines. It will make my life easier.

You’re good at so many things, I’m sure of it. And building kits is one of them

Oh, tortilla de patata is one of the Spanish cuissine classics. In essence is just potatoes, eggs and onion, but cooked in an amazing way that brings all the flavors together and elevates them.

Oh, and there’s also an intensive national debate on wether the best tortilla comes with or without onion, and also wether you should have it runny or curd. It’s a whole world

Here’s a decent English version of the recipe, if you’re curious. BUT this is a modification (I couldn’t find an English-speaking true one). Just remove the spices and slice the onion reeeally small. For the spices, only salt. Period.

You should try this one! It’s been a lot of fun so far, and I’m still kind of half way there.

Thanks a lot! You’re so kind.
