So! While finishing my first build (The Seahorse Barque) I took a small break on the eve of my mum’s birthday and decided to build her the Glittering Water Lily from Rowood.

It was such a wonder to build! Although the "stick the flowers and water lilies through the plastic “water” was a bit tricky in some of the long ones, the result was so satisfying.

Sorry about the photo and background quality though!

Robotise has a nice collections of flowers. they all look amazing. I really like the wooden booming book. so beautiful. I think she would really like it.

What a lovely idea to build it as a birthday gift for your mum. It looks beautiful, and the result was definitely worth the tricky parts. The photos look just fine — the piece speaks for itself.
