Hi there! ![]()
I’ve finally finished this kit—it was quite a crafting challenge, haha!
As I mentioned, this kit is a collaboration; I had to delay it for personal reasons, and I feel terrible about that—even though I was told it wasn’t a problem. I still feel guilty, though, because I like to post things shortly after receiving them.
My mother fell in love with this kit the moment she saw a photo of it; I’ve never given her one before—I keep all of mine stored in boxes, or some on shelves.
So I’m going to give it to her as a gift; I hope Robotime doesn’t get mad at me for gifting the collaboration item to my mom, hehe.
It’s a kit with so many details; you start by making all the furniture and accessories, which is something I love!
I appreciate that the glue is included in the kit, but it is very runny and takes a long time to dry; many parts slide around, so you have to hold them in place for them to set correctly. This makes the whole kit a bit frustrating and is the main thing slowing down the build. I would glue a few pieces, wait for them to dry, and so on.
I love how everything has been put together; when my mother saw the finished model, she said, “It’s the little house of my dreams!” and smiled—it made me so happy to see her happy.
Honestly, I think this kit was designed with love; every detail is well-crafted, the accessories are lovely, and the color palette is so harmonious—it is truly pleasing to the eye.
Now let’s talk about the designer of this plant—the one that’s supposed to be a pumpkin, haha. I call it the “cursed bonsai,” haha. What kind of Robotime designer thought we were the Hulk, able to twist that wire without dying in the attempt? Haha. That designer really shouldn’t design any more plants, please. ![]()
I bet it’s the same designer who did that terrifying plant, haha—seriously, I’m sure of it.
Anyway, let’s leave the plants alone; we already know they turned out badly, but thank goodness I managed to camouflage them with paper as best I could. ![]()
I’m absolutely in love with this area; it reminds me of my mom’s little dog—we love her just like another member of the family… she’s adorable.
And now, as always, the pros and cons of this kit—hahaha, I’m sure you can already guess what the cons are, right? Hahaha. ![]()
Pros:
- adorable kit
- tons of accessories and details
- the little dog is adorable
- everything fits together well
- the size is perfect
- my mom wanted to keep it for herself, haha—it’s the first kit she’s ever wanted to swipe from me
- clear instructions
- comes with glue
Cons:
- the glue is very weak, and you have to wait for everything to dry
- the bonsai and the wire vine are a nightmare to assemble
- I’m not a fan of gluing paper to the floor and walls; it ends up peeling at the corners
- the instructions say to attach the shelf with adhesive strips, but it falls down due to the weight; you have to use glue instead
If you love gluing absolutely everything together—and cutting out and pasting down floors and walls—then this is the kit for you; however, if you lack patience, I wouldn’t recommend it.
As always, here is the video I made; I just uploaded it today!
I hope you like it! ![]()
