The Eloy is getting ready for his meet up event in April topic strikes back! As I’ve mentioned in a previous topic I wanna build one of each of the meet up kits myself beforehand, so I can present a little showcase of “this is what you’ll be building”, and to also be able to properly help people if needed. So this is what we’ll be working with:
- Glittering Water Lilly Wall Art
- Golden Sunflower Wall Art
- Spring Time Bouquet
- Wooden Flower Basket
- Wooden Glooming Book
So I’ll be building them in that order, probably. And I’m so glad I’m doing this! Otherwise it may be a bit unconfortable not to know what people is dealing with during the meet up ![]()

Oh, I really am SO glad I’ve decided to do this. I’ve never encountered a kit such as the Spring Time Bouquet! It’s just so different from anything else I’ve seen from any of the Robotime sub-brands. Basically because most of what you’re dealing with is hard plastic, and it’s more about hooking and fitting plastic parts between them than fitting parts into holes or sticking things with double-sided tape. What a different experience and take on a build!
Besides that change of feeling, I’d say it’s one of the easiest builds (so far) I’ve been dealing with. It’s also super relaxing, almost like an ASMR ![]()

Anyway, the process here is pretty simple in theory: build all the flowers in the kit, and then assemble the bouquet. Easy peasy lemon squeezy, as @Nita_Davis apparently loves me to say. I mean, how hard can it be? This is mainly what you need for a couple of those flowers:
The feel of those parts, and the more realistic look compared to the wooden one, are just so… I don’t know, relaxing! I keep saying that, but it’s just true. And the results are beautiful. After a few minutes of hooking petals and fitting parts together, we found ourselves in possession of a handful of beautiful flowers. Just look! Here I present to you the daffodil and the lilly:
They’re beautiful, aren’t they? And good news! I’m alergic (you know, the kind of person who goes all sneezing, crying and scratching their noses all Spring), but those flowers are pollen-free. I’m good! Yay.

After those two cute pinky ones (Oh, jeez, maybe @Emma_Samchek will try to steal them
), it’s the turn of the roses. They took a bit longer to build, but they’re also the cutest so far in my humble opinion. They look even more realistic and detailed! I’m not sure why Robotime doesn’t have more kits of this style. It’s just so comfortable to build ![]()
So this is how the roses will look once you’ve hooked the petals:
Then you add a couple more things, gently press it so the petals will close, and… Voilà!
Oh, and there’s two of them. So smooth and relaxing colours, am I right?
Well, there are more flowers to be built, but it was late (remember, I live in Spain, so it’s early in the morning now when I’m writting this
) so I decided to craft one more flower and let it rest until tomorrow. The chosen one (well, the next one in the instructions, who am I fooling) was the Camelia, which is also super beautiful and detailed.
And that’s it for today! It’s a nice collection of flowers so far, and I really, really enjoy the smoothness and touch of it.
Now I just need to put together a hydrangea (I’m learning some weird flower names here, folks), a couple of eucalyptus, and we’ll be ready to put our bouquet together.

Until then… See you/read you around!
