I have decided that painting everything is not my favorite thing to do. I completed the guitar and on taking picture, noticed a couple more touch ups.
I only have a few tips:
-The directions are not super clear, the way they are numbered. Page 2 can be confusing to figure out!
Number 5 be careful with the way you place D7. Make sure those little holes I circled are to the top right.
many pieces are very fragile. Good news is they give you lots of spares. The little peg ones are what broke the easiest.
for the strings, the directions are a little confusing. Follow the pictures for winding strings as it makes more sense.
I think this step is part of #5 but again confusing. E9 frames the back of the amp. Not that I know and look at the picture it is clear but it wasnt initially.
That is all I have for now! Overall not bad. I wish I had more acrylic bottle paints but I got through. As much as I want to give more shine and glitter, I think I am done for now!
This turned out lovely! The painting definitely takes a lot of patience because you can mess up with one color and have to do three coats with another color to cover a screw up. Well done
@Nita_Davis Thank you! I know you enjoy the painting stuff! I liked it but wished I had more bottles. The pens were good but even with 124 choices, I still did not have a real red and the metallics were just ok
The bottles of paint only cost me $0.60 each and I get to pick and choose which colors I want. They last forever and those acrylic paint pens are very expensive and don’t even last through one project. I’ve had no luck with them and they are just there for tiny little spots that I might need them for @jeanneL . The folk art metallic paints cost a little bit more but they last forever as well. About $2.50 each at Walmart
Did you use markers for this? It looks great. I made this one also. There are indeed a few delicate parts in there and a lot of very small ones. Great job.
