It’s coming along. Slowly but surely lol the wood is delicate and the parts are small. As well know the black painted wood panels are the bane of our existence here. This is no different
I’m gonna be honest. I’m not liking it. The paper that is given to cover the front is really making me upset. Why paper?!! It doesn’t even look right to me and it’s super difficult to put on and it makes it hard to hold as your craft the other parts of the boat. I just think it would have been easier to have a full length painted piece of wood.
Doesn’t matter. I have plans that will make this more aged and not such a regal ship that it is. Now wait. It’s beautiful I agree. But not really my style to just leave it alone lol. I have plans with some printed pirates that I have to paint.
Upcoming I am seeing the cables on this and from what I have read it’s difficult. My patience shall be tried. But David is ready for it. ( no really I asked him! )
It’s a fun one! You will never believe that I took every black piece (the whole sheet and took an orbital sander to it. I didn’t want black. I wanted it to appear weathered or stained. I will try to find my post about a better way to the sails than by the written instructions. Wishing you the best of luck.
@Nita_Davis I wouldn’t expect anything different lol. I plan on weathering the sails and making the ship more worn also. But tips on the sails would be great.
Soo the only question I have is. Where are you three days ago?!!! lol
I got the cannons no problem. The paper sucked but whatever I’ll deal with it. I did find it’s easier to screw them in first then remove the glue tabs and place them to the wood. thanks for the tips on the sails. I bookmarked it for the future.
