🌿 Weekend Glow Activity 6 | When Things Went Wrong 😅

:cherry_blossom: Our Weekend Glow Series continues!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve shared cozy moments, blooming flowers, and even the very first steps of our crafting journeys.

This time… let’s talk about something a little more honest (and maybe a little funny too). :eyes:

Because not every build goes perfectly…

 When Things Went Wrong

At some point, almost every builder has experienced that moment:

  • A tiny piece suddenly disappears :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
  • Something gets glued in the wrong place
  • A step feels impossible to understand :face_with_bags_under_eyes:
  • Or everything just… doesn’t go as planned :face_with_monocle:

Those little “oops” moments can feel frustrating at the time…
but looking back, they often become the most memorable (and funniest) parts of the journey.

:herb: This Week’s Topic

We’d love to hear about your most unforgettable “fail” moment:

:blossom: If you’ve been building for a while:

  • What was your worst crafting mistake?
  • What happened?
  • Did you fix it… or just accept it and move on?

:seedling: If you’re new here:

  • What are you most worried might go wrong?
  • Is there anything that already feels tricky or confusing?

Don’t worry… everyone has been there. :yellow_heart:

:light_bulb: Quick Sharing Ideas

You can share:

  • :camera_with_flash: A photo of the “accident scene” (before or after :eyes:)
  • :puzzle_piece: A moment where things didn’t go as planned
  • :joy: A funny or frustrating story from your build
  • :speech_balloon: Or just a few honest sentences

There are no rules, no pressure
sometimes, the imperfect moments are the best stories.

Let’s laugh a little at the chaos together.

:speech_balloon: Gentle Reminder

Every builder has had a moment where things didn’t go right.

But somehow…
those imperfect pieces still become part of something meaningful. :herb:

So this weekend, don’t be afraid to share the messy side of creativity—

because sometimes, mistakes make the best stories. :sparkles:

We can’t wait to hear yours. :yellow_heart:

The thing im most worried about is when i start to do mechanicals i hope i dont do them wrong..im guessing it will be quite hard to go back and redo it

I actually posted about this today, haha.

In my last build, I forgot to include the humidifier part; I found it weeks later, haha.

When building my first ever kit, The Dream Gift Factory, I was so eager to start I completely mist the part of the instruction that there were spare parts.

I did break a few pieces, not entirely luckily.

As I also did not have any glue at that time and wanted to continue building, I just left it as it was.

When finishing the kit, I saw the spare parts . So I still replace the few pieces on the outside that were slightly damaged. But there will forever be 1 cracked piece inside the building which I will not replace. I’m just too scared to break more pieces that are not replaceable.

And if works, so no need to stress about it.

One of my worst mistakes was when I was installing the conveyor belt for the Gift factory. It was not smooth and I was worried that I might have done something incorrectly. I carefully remove the parts and redo the steps again and it magically worked for some reason :joy::joy:

My mistake was choosing the wrong kit to experiment with and put in a shadow box!

I feel the same too!

Did you have to remove some parts and install this or just leave it as it is?

What do you mean by a shadow box?

A shadow box is like a deep frame that you can use to show off ephemera.

I haven’t touched anything, haha, just in case. The whole kit works, so maybe it’s not important.

I think I just have a tendency to break parts because I am such a perfectionist. Sometimes, trying to align a fragile piece perfectly leads to it breaking and me having to glue it. All I’ll say is super glue is definitely my best friend when I’m building.

I have the most of my breaks on the flowers, sometimes I can fix them myself, but my husband is expert in fixing pieces, I don’t take picture of broken pieces

My mistake was sticking it upside down on the background or wallpaper, and now I can’t stick it back on.
