I faced quite a few obstacles on this one. For those of you have who have been following, my biggest struggle was wrapping the tiny black ribbons around the Watchtower. I opted to paint other pieces black which took me about 10 times less than doing that at least. Later on, I ran out of the amazing glue that I received in my sunlit farmhouse kitchen. That stuff was amazing and I thought that b7000 would be comparable. It’s not. The smell is horrible and being a house painter for 36 years, I have smelled some really bad chemicals
Anyways, here is the finished model
I had a major catastrophe where I shortened a piece for a handrail …only because I was using the wrong (very similar piece) . I ended up putting a life preserver over that patch. I mean… a life preserver should be near the pool as well, am I right? Anyways…I still have to deal with this mess on the back side. YIKES!
Very nice. I’m glad you were able to overcome your obstacles and glue challenges. I’m always impressed by anyone who can complete this build. It’s a tough one and it’s one that I won’t attempt just yet.
Thanks so much for your kind words. @Minibuilder03 This is not the most challenging one I’ve faced. I think the most challenging one was about 1/4 of this size…an ocean house as well.
This turned out great! Sorry to hear that you weren’t a fan of the B-7000, it’s crazy to see different peoples experiences with glues! I don’t really find that the smell is all that bad, but I also don’t really find myself using enough of it at one time that it creates a lot of smell.
Wow it turned out great! You did a great job overcoming the struggles you had. Those wires will need a little more extra work, but I’m sure you will get them sorted out

It turned out beautifully! And honestly, I love the life preserver “fix”,it looks like it was meant to be there all along! Sometimes those unexpected little solutions add even more character to a build. Congratulations on pushing through all the challenges and finishing such a gorgeous project!
It turned out fantastic! The finished beach house looks incredible-I wouldn’t have guessed how many obstacles you had to overcome. Beautiful work, and definitely worth all the perseverance!
