I managed to spend a little more time working on the Wooden Blooming Book, and this time I started on the last flower I had left: the light orange gerbera daisy.
There are two new flowers out now, but this one was among the latest releases together with the sakura, and I hadn’t built it before. So I was excited to start it!
I really like that it already comes with the inner details painted in a different color. Otherwise, I would have painted them myself for sure
. I actually went much faster with these two flowers than I expected, probably because I already had the process pretty well in hand by now.
They’re really, really pretty, and this time I didn’t need to do any research beforehand. The only thing I paid attention to was making sure the center of both flowers was also painted orange, instead of keeping the lighter color of the petals, because it didn’t quite feel right to me for the inside of the flower.
I was so focused while building them that I barely took any photos
. What did make me laugh, though, was that Alvin already appeared in one… and when I finished the flower and tried to put it on his head, the face he made was even funnier. This cat loves me way too much and allows far too much nonsense eheheh
Bochi, on the other hand, took one look, sniffed the incoming chaos, and left. Such a shame. ![]()
After finishing the small flower that will also go on top of the book, I’ll leave it here for now. I need to prepare things for the week ahead and correct some of my students’ work. Let’s see when I can continue!
I only have the eucalyptus left and then the book itself, and I’m absolutely loving it so far!!!
I hope you all have a lovely day and gather some energy for the week ahead.
Thanks so much for reading!!! ![]()
