I had to make the tree out of wire, and then wrap toilet paper around it. After that I had to unwind a paper rope and then wrap that around the tree, Finally I had to hand cut out all the leaves and glue them on. This is the first wire tree I’ve ever had to make, and I actually think it turned out pretty good!
Second up was all the flowers and leaves for the stair railing:
This was certainly tedious, I had to cut out 108 and petals, and then glue them one by one. After that I had to cut out a million leaves, it felt like it took forever! Haha, like I said I spent my whole day on it.
This will be my last update for this build, my next post should be the completed build, I am super excited to see it finally all come together! Thanks for reading!
WOW! This all looks like such intricate work…but you are crushing it. Your tree is pure perfection and your cat is totally adorable! Your claywork is on point!
But you rock at making them out of clay…I think it might be easier than crafting out of clay? Am I wrong to think so? Or does the tediousness just bore you
It’s okay to put a model aside for a bit when you lose motivation. Been there, done that. When it becomes monotonous or unenjoyable, move on for a bit. @Carmie
This is exactly why I skip all around the instructions… I make a few plants, then build a piece of furniture. I cross them off as I go. Then I go back to making more plants…
@Atropex your tree looks great ! Cutting out all the flowers needs a lot of patience and must of been never ending .. im glad you completed that .. im loving the clay cake by the way !
You are just so dedicated to doing this and it looks amazing. I’m thinking of all the shortcuts I can take to stop me having to make so much when I get around to mine
You’ve done such a great job! The cat is adorable! I have this kit to do, but I’m not sure about that tree or the stairway flowers. Wow…a lot of work! lol
