@Liset let me know how it goes. I ordered a set of 124. and they are ok, good for cost, but may take a few coats. When these run out, will look at other options.
124
they are very expensive. That’s one reason I hadn’t bought them before. But I could buy them separately at the store I was in today, so I got one to try out. If I like them, I’d like to get a set too.
That makes sense. The holidays can be disrupting sometimes.
Oh yes, I remember… @Liset I find it much easier to just paint the whole piece…as you are trying to hard to keep if off of the front and/ or back. That’s why I never paint edges only.
I always wipe it away immediately with my finger and then I don’t see any paint residue on the flat part ![]()
Oh Posca is definitely a well known and expensive brand. I hope it works like a charm! ![]()
I guess if it works in 1 coat vs the others that may take 2 or 3 or more, than it may be worth it?!
This is a great build! I have full faith in you that youll finish it before Christmas ![]()
im excited for the rest of your posts! Good luck on the tree!
I’m really curious too. I going to do a test and see the difference between the cheap and expensive ones
I hope it will cover in one coat and it doesn’t dry patchy like cheaper markers
Thank you so much!
It’s been really slow so far so I hope I can make it before Christmas
Hahaha yes please report back. I’ve always been on the fence with Posca because it’s so expensive.
Do please let me know. As I said, mine has 124 colors but as those go dry, I need replacements. I think your brand can be ordered individually? This is nice as I would need to order the entire case for replacement.
I found a shop who sells the posca markers separately ![]()
I think I saw online but yes! That is perfect.
curious to see what you make of this
it won’t be much different since it’s already been painted ![]()
Great choice to start with the Christmas Melody Tree, @Liset! Painting the edges it’s always a good way to start. Totally worth the extra time!
Thank you @Wenbare
I think it looks so much better with the painted edges. I also enjoy mixing the colors until you can barely see any difference from the original color.
Absolutely true! heheh
