The tree is up! It was a lot of work to paint all the edges. I had to apply two coats because one wasn’t opaque enough. It took me a long time, but I’m happy with the result. Now I just need to paint 42 leaves…hopefully I’ll make it before Christmas.

Painting the edges really makes a difference. Your tree is looking great @Liset you still have time before Christmas :christmas_tree:

This looks perfect. Did you paint the whole tree or only the edges? I can’t tell. It is completely seamless.

There a still 4 days left, but tomorrow we’re away for one day and Monday is my daughter’s birthday and Tuesday I have to work, so little time to build :wink:

Thank you @Wenbare :hugs: I’m trying to do as much as possible before Christmas and hopefully I’ll make it in time. Luckily, we have two Christmas days here in the Netherlands.

Good luck! These edges are difficult to paint, as the leaves are close together and there is little space between them :sweat_smile:

I also like painting the edges the least, but I really don’t like unpainted edges :wink:

Only the edges :wink: I mixed the paint until it was perfect. A tip is to lighten the paint slightly; it will darken slightly when it dries.

I may paint most ahead of time and then leave the part that clips on unpai ted. I have to look at how it all goes

Your paintwork is absolutely gorgeous! It must’ve taken you a long time with all the grooves and what not but your end result is really worth it! :heart:

I hope you’ll be able to complete this by Christmas but also take your time. :blush:
