I was able to work for about 2 hours on this today. Much of my time was painting the edges! Lots of 2D things! The first pic with the candles and reindeer and clock, those were all separate.
After painting and assembling, most were added to the base. I will find out where the big fireplace will go tomorrow!

This is so beautiful!! I love kits with bright, vibrant colors like these! When I first saw the gift box in the thumbnail, I thought it was just made of paper, but I had no idea it was actually made from wooden pieces! The details are so impressive!!

All is wood! No paper at all. And they are 3D. I was pleasantly surprised!

So true! But I feel like, especially with some 2D it makes such a difference. I do not mind doing it but yea it definitely takes more time! Thanks!
Yes, it definitely does make a difference. It is easier with markers but the wood soaks up so much 
Yeah, the one fire was an add on with the fence! And the chair?! The cushion I glued on so it wouldn’t get lost. It would have been fun it there was a light there but will see how everything really lights up once done.
