👍 [Rolife DIY & Creativity] Tipsy Restaurant - Rebuilding Update #2

Hello –

As I mentioned in update #1, I’m doing my best to make this rebuild feel more “me.” I’m still waiting for the acrylic markers I ordered, but I couldn’t wait any longer to dive in. I already have a design in mind that involves black accents, so… I grabbed a permanent marker and started painting. (Patience? Never heard of her. Lol.)

And now… I finally get why so many in our community love painting their kits. Here are my reasons:

1st – It’s ridiculously satisfying. Relaxing, calming, therapeutic—you name it.
2nd – It’s all about you. Your imagination, your outcome, your vision for the build.
3rd – It’s yours. Every brushstroke marks your creativity.

So yes, I think I’ll be customizing more of my kits from now on. Haha.

Looking great so far @Anje_Leonoza_Mira, had to laugh about the patience :joy:. I get a lot of satisfaction from customising it too x

Permanent markers are not the way to go. Apple Barrel acrylics from Walmart…and they wash off your hands in a heartbeat.

Thank you. It’s kinda messy though, but we will get there. Haha

You are correct. The damage has been done. Now, it’s so hard to remove from my hands.

Looking so good. You help make it even more special.

Thank you. Appreciate it.

It really is fun painting and customising. Your build is going to rise like a phoenix from the ashes!

So you’re joining the Robotime Painting Club then  (even if you can’t wait for the paints to arrive lol, that made my day).

It’s looking good so far! I also love your reasons to “why painting my kit is so satisfying”. I’m still resisting it, but I’m not sure how long I’ll be able to keep it

Haha! You’re in your ‘uhm, let me think’ era. Just wait—once you paint even one, boom, you’re instantly inducted into the painting club. Hahaha!

But how can someone who’s never liked painting and who’s never been good at it (or at deciding how or in which colour to paint something) can properly do that? Asking for a friend :stuck_out_tongue:

I never liked it and was not good at it as far as I knew. I am unsure I could do what Liset has done, but I can do some. So I take little steps and see how it goes!

I’m not even that sure I’ll ever reach that point. I’ve never actually enjoyed painting, in any way. It’s just not my thing, nor my skill, nor my mindset

Hahah I love the use of the clothes peg, I’ve got two pink ones too! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: I think you might want to consider getting the magnetic clips.

I agree hahaha sometimes there’s no such thing as patience. :pink_heart: You’re doing great so far!
