📖 [Rolife Journey] Flowery Sweets & Teas Update #1

I’ve been pretty busy but my mind keeps drifting back to the miniature kit on my desk. I’ve been coming up with ideas in my head and even using AI to see if it can visualise my thoughts. So far so good, I guess. I’ll just have to start and see where this takes me. I don’t expect it to be perfect.

Lots of painting done in the last few days and I’m still not done.

My initial plan was to use red but I didn’t like how it burned my eyes. So I opted for a more maroon colour. It’s a colour I didn’t have and I’m not ready to buy new paint just for this, so I had to mix my own using some references online.

Featuring my partner’s spare shot glass that came in handy.

Progress has been slow so far, and there’ll be more painting waiting for me. :front_facing_baby_chick:

No need to rush. I understand that painting takes a lot of time. You have to apply each coat of paint one at a time.

Yup, painting does take forever!! I always hate painting, but am always happy with how the build looks after it’s all put together. Just feels more rewarding, y’know?

The red look very pretty. Some of my favorite creations are made from improvised materials.

Oh dear…painting yellow is the worst. I feel for you. For maroon, believe it or not, there is a hint of blue. My college town colors are maroon, so I have painted tons of maroon walls…LOL

I had no choice with the yellow hahaha. It was a painstaking process.

Oh that’s so interesting! I basically mixed up the colours by googling and then had a quick tutorial on the primary colours and the colour wheel. I was actually thinking in my head that you would’ve immediately known what colours to use lol. :star_struck:

Painting a kit take a lot of time. But it’s all worth it. Enjoy building @JDisaduck

Your ideas are looking amazing already! And honestly… using AI and a shot glass to get the perfect color? Peak crafter energy :joy:

And just wait, you’re going to get so attached to those plants that you’ll miss them once they’re easy to make! :joy::joy:
Slow progress still counts as progress, and yours is looking fantastic! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

It definitely is worth it. But it’s also good to have easy kits I like alternating. :pink_heart:

Hahahaha you know you’re addicted when you look for anything around you to be used. Yeah I’m only attempting this because I’ve got a bit of time during the holiday break. :crossed_fingers:
