📖 [Rolife Journey] Flowery Sweets & Teas Update #2

I’ve been painting on and off for about a week now and I’m so ready to move on and start building. My biggest issue is that I don’t like painting and building at the same time, so I wanted to make sure I finished most of the painting before starting something else.

Featuring yet another one of my partner’s handy shot glasses.

I think I was losing my mind. All I could think about was how this looked like hot chocolate. :hot_beverage:

Everything looked tiny but it still took me forever to paint. I’m just glad most of it is done now. :front_facing_baby_chick:

Colors are all looking great. It will be worth it in the end.

Now I am curious if the pieces will snap together once painted. I look forward to your next update because I am planning to try my hands on painting soon.

Great job! I agree, it’s either paint everything before building, or paint after building, lol. I ain’t going to stop in the middle of my building to paint, that’s ludicrous!!

I always do all three. It just depends on the build. @Atropex

They absolutely will. If you get too much over edges, sanding will correct any issues there. @Jill_Francisco

Painting is definitely a painstaking process, but I am always happy with the extra efforts. Looking good so far!

Thank you! I’m super inspired by your talents hehe. :pink_heart: However I can still safely say I dislike painting.

This is an older kit so none of them are snap together. Which to be honest makes it so much easier to paint but I will probably sand them when I glue them together, if they’re not levelled.

But I imagine with the snap together pieces you’re gonna have to sand a lot.

Hahahahaha yesssss! Twins again! :pink_heart:

It’s really fun and interesting to see how everyone has different habits when it comes to building.

It definitely is painful haha so hats off to you! :pink_heart: But you’re right it is worth it but I don’t think I’ll be able to do this for every kit.

You are repainting so much. I am excited to see what you have in store.

Aww thank you but don’t have your hopes up hahaha this is all new to me I’m just seeing where this will take me.

Aww that’s so sweet but honestly i make so many mistakes and redo things, more patience than anything lol.

Ha ha I feel the same sometimes about painting. I got to my limit with the gift factory, I could have painted so much more but I think it’s a happy medium in the end. Your model will look amazing for the extra painting though :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts: @JDisaduck

That’s true because it’s hard to know what the end result will be like so I guess it’s trial and error. But it’ll be a fun challenge and the next one will be better. :pink_heart:

Hahahah yeah I’m not sure about painting the dream factory just yet. Maybe just the edges?

Ha ha the edges are a good start @JDisaduck. Exactly it’s always evolving. It can always be painted or tweaked when it’s finished or 6 months down the track when you’ve sat with it, or you could decide it’s perfect as is :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: x
