Then I started painting on the back details of the back. Since I don’t have a thin brush, I once again opted to use markers for tiny details. Painting made me realize that I don’t have steady hands at all. And whatever I do, it’s just a mess. * Sigh *
What do you mean Jill it looks so good! Akil will be super proud of you, he’s picked the best colours. The perfectionist in me knows what you mean but I’m here to remind you that it looks awesome!
It looks amazing! Our color schemes are somewhat similar. When I look at it, I think of Superman. I think by the end of the day, I should be a little more than halfway done.
I think it looks great. My hand is not that steady either so I understand. Your son isn’t going to care about how the marble run is painted, but by how much fun he can have with it. You’re a great mum!
I think you did a great job. The colors look great together, and you managed to paint the small details. In my experience, it’s harder to paint the small details with markers, but you did a really good job!
I think it looks great @Jill_Francisco and your son will be so happy with it. In future if you are not steady you could always try painters tape to help for straight lines. But sometimes things being not perfect gives it character.
How are you finding the markers Jill? You have got me intrigued to buy some The only thing I worry about is not being able to replace certain colours when they run out.
I love using it because of its soft brush tip and it’s color turn out is so good - I just need one swipe. But I’m afraid if I run out of color I will need to buy the whole set again
I actually love that you’re adding paint details to it, it gives it so much more personality, Jill!
And honestly? We are always our own worst critics. From the photos it looks great, especially considering how tiny those pieces are. Using markers for the small details was such a smart move!
Your son insisting you continue is the cutest motivation ever! Keep going, it’s coming together beautifully!
