This is my 2nd day building the Gear Ball Challenge and I am deep down regretting why I wanted to paint it Painting takes a lot of time and work too, I don’t know how you guys do it @Nita_Davis@Liset you make painting builds look so easy hehehe
I have followed your tips to use wax paper so as the pieces won’t stick. And I have also painted the edges white first before painting them and the color turn out looks beautiful
I wish you the best of luck! I don’t think I’ll ever paint my kits, painting is something I don’t usually enjoy and I’m not skilled about it but you’re doing a great job! And there’s no rush, don’t forget that
You did s great job i love the color combination! Painting takes a lot of time, which is why it takes me ages to finish a build. But as I can see, you’re doing a great job! Pay close attention to the parts you might not see anymore; painting them would be a waste of time.
This is going to be stunning. All of those gears in the picture will be hidden below the ‘floor’ that goes over it. If you choose to paint the couple of gears that will be seen on the upper section. It is perfectly fine to do so. I wouldn’t paint between the teeth of the gears, though. Be sure to paint before sanding and waxing if you choose to do so…as paint doesn’t stick well to wax. Wishing you the best in this new adventure for you…and your son.
lol Linset and Nita_Davis do not make it look easy. Nita_Davis rarely seems to get through a project without exclaiming her desire to toss the whole project out the window. Understandably so.
I think painting always looks very difficult and that is before the danger of swelling. Even just touching up the corners on a small flower kit can turn into hours.
HAHA…Sometimes! @SunnyCee I LOVE the painting process. It is the building that sometimes wants to make me throw them out the window…but I’ve never ever done so…yet. So far, so good. This one is definitely a challenge to paint, though.
