📰 Robotime DIY & Crafting Club News | Barcelona Meetup Event 02 — The Wind Blows in the Mediterranean Sea

:spain: Meetup Event 02 - Barcelona, Spain :ocean:

:spouting_whale: Where the Mediterranean wind carries joyful connections

Sunday morning in Barcelona, the air felt different, like something was about to arrive. Not loudly, not all at once, but gently… like the wind drifting across the Mediterranean Sea. :ocean:

For her second meetup, Wendy carried that same quiet energy. She was nervous, yes, but also more grounded this time. She had been there the day before, preparing the space, imagining how it would all unfold. By the time the doors opened, everything was ready, just waiting for people to step in and begin.

Instead of one large room, she chose two smaller ones. It changed the feeling entirely. The space became softer, more intimate, like little pockets of calm where :speech_balloon: conversations could settle and grow. Of course, it also meant more movement, Wendy and her husband Andrei, constantly drifting between rooms, checking in, helping out, making sure no one felt left behind. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

1. Where the Wind Gathers :wing:

This time, Wendy did something different. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Instead of leaving things to chance, she let participants choose their kits as they arrived. And somehow, that simple change shifted everything. People paused, looked, considered, and picked what truly spoke to them. :star_struck:

Very quickly, certain favorites began to surface, like familiar shapes along a coastline. The Super Creator series, the Cherry Blossom collection, and Puppy’s Cozy Villa drew people in again and again, each one finding its way into careful hands.

Around the room, completed models from Wendy’s own collection quietly told their stories, giving everyone a glimpse of what their pieces could become. :innocent:

2. The Rhythm of the Day :musical_notes:

And then, almost without noticing, everything fell into rhythm.

The soft sounds of crafting, light conversation, moments of focus, and sudden laughter wove together into something unforced and real. People leaned closer, offered help, shared progress. Strangers became something a little more familiar. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Wendy and Andrei barely stopped moving, flowing between rooms, answering questions, guiding hands, holding the space together. There was hardly a second to pause, not even to take photos. :joy:

But some moments stayed.

A participant finishing her Panda Hot Pot kit right there at the table, piece by piece, until it was complete. Others carrying that same feeling home, finishing their Puppy’s Cozy Villa later and sharing it online, as if the day hadn’t quite ended yet. :face_holding_back_tears:

And one journey in particular lingered in the air, someone who had come all the way from Toulouse :france: , just to be here. Like the wind itself, crossing distances quietly, but with meaning :yellow_heart:.

3. When the Wind Shifts :leaf_fluttering_in_wind:

Not everything moved perfectly.

With 17 participants, the group was a little smaller this time. The two-room setup, while intimate, meant Wendy couldn’t be everywhere at once. Some people had to leave early, and others chose to stay out of photos, so the final group picture didn’t quite hold everyone who had been part of the day.

But maybe that’s the nature of something like this.

Like the Mediterranean wind, not everything can be captured or contained. Some moments are simply meant to be felt as they pass.

4. What Remains :dizzy:

When it was all over, what lingered wasn’t the numbers or the photos, but a quiet sense of release :light_blue_heart:.

The kind that comes after anticipation, connection, and the gentle exhaustion of caring deeply about something.

An unforgettable meetup, not because everything was perfect, but because it moved people, softly, naturally, like the wind over the Mediterranean Sea.

And as it passed, it left behind the feeling that this is only the beginning. :glowing_star:

:woman_teacher: Meet Our Spain Brand Ambassador @Wenbare

If the Barcelona meetup carried a gentle breeze, it naturally flowed from Wendy herself. A primary school teacher from Spain :spain: , Wendy has a calm and caring presence that instantly puts people at ease. She listens with patience, notices small details, and makes those around her feel quietly welcomed. :hugs:

In her everyday life, Wendy finds joy in simple, mindful moments. She loves knitting, spending time with her cats, and immersing herself in crafts that invite focus and care. These slow and thoughtful hobbies reflect the way she approaches both life and people, with softness, patience, and genuine attention.

Wendy’s journey with Robotime began in 2021 after an unexpected event. During that time, building kits became her way to regain focus and inner calm.

Through the Robotime community, she discovered that building kits could be more than a pastime. It became a quiet space where she could slow down, regain balance, and gently reconnect with herself. Since then, she has also crafted many kits as thoughtful gifts for family and friends. To Wendy, each piece is more than a model, it is a heartfelt creation made with care for someone special :blue_heart:.

Her love for family is especially evident in her relationship with her grandmother :old_woman:. Wendy has lovingly crafted pieces for her, transforming models into small worlds filled with memories and emotion. These handmade gifts carry closeness, care, and blessings, giving crafting a deeper and more tender meaning.

In Wendy’s story, there is also an important presence who has quietly accompanied her along the way — her husband. Whether during the creative process or through life’s challenges, he is always the first to offer encouragement.

When she feels tired, he gives her strength, and through his patience, thoughtfulness, and understanding, Wendy is able to love what she does, create with confidence, and share her passion freely. It is this support that gives her the courage to bring that passion to even more people. :revolving_hearts:

As a teacher, Wendy has also brought the joy of crafting into her classroom :face_with_monocle:. The previous Robotime donation project for local primary schools was also led by her. Watching children focus intently while crafting and feel proud upon completion reaffirmed her belief that the power of crafting goes far beyond the finished result.

Looking back at these two meetups, what stands out most is Wendy’s dedication in every detail, from thoughtful preparation to the care she shows each participant. :two_hearts:

As a brand ambassador, she goes beyond hosting, creating spaces where people can truly connect, slow down, and enjoy the craft together.

Like the Mediterranean wind, her impact is quiet but far-reaching, bringing meaningful connections to life, one meetup at a time. :blue_heart:
