Autumn in Colorado! The leaves have started turning, the shadows extend everywhere and the world is closing down to reflect upon the past year.
On October 10, 2006, 19 people showed up to participate in the Customization Autumn Meetup #4 in Sunny Greeley, CO.
Only one person didnt show up! I consider that a success!
4 people didnt want to be recorded, or pictured so in respect of their wishes their pictures are not included.
There was 2 participants that had to leave early however. Their child that they brought, though really quiet and respectful had an accident so they needed to leave early.
There were lots of new people that had never encountered or built a Robotime kit before! It was such a incredible gift to have them experience the quality and love that goes into these kits that are offered.
I heard a couple comparisons to other manufacturers builds and each time, the consensus was how impressed they were with how well Rolife’s kits were
I started the presentation with a quick slideshow from Robotime, detailing its origins, the different brands and offerings.
I then gave the participants a chance to pick up their tool kit, customization box, tote bag and the kit of their choosing.
Once everyone was settled, I explained directions in the kit, the different process and if they had any questions to raise their hand and I would be around to help.
Of course I took my time to ensure that every one had enough attention from myself. Through checking in with them, or just answering questions and guiding through their builds.
The kits available for the choosing were all Super Creator Kits!
- Fascinating Book Store
- Pop Bubble Bathroom
- Furry Friends Home
- Warm Dining Room
- Cozy Living Lounge
I think these were fantastic kits for customization!! The participants really put their work into it for this event.
Light music played and there was a nice spread of meats, chesses, fruits and crackers for snacks as well. Decorated to keep with the Autumn theme
Midway through the event, I had a giveaway! First four people to share their work and have the correct tags on their social media, got to chooses either one of two Nanci blind boxes or two kits that were left over from my last meetup.
I was trying to tell them they didnt need to to stop working but that didnt work lol.
The four prizes were gone right away!!
The age range for the participants was profound. From the young to the more experienced in life. All of them were excited to take part.
While the event was going on, I had two passerbys stop in and give me their contact information to be added to the list of the next meetup!
the conference room was situated right next to the entrance which made it a spectacular billboard for passing customers of the Library’s uses.
As the people that had to leave for various reasons began to pack up and get ready to leave, I then introduced them to the Robotime Community. I used my computer to show them how, where, and what the website looked like. Many took pictures of the website so that once their customization was completed, they would sign up right away and enter the contest currently going on.
I really hope they follow through and sign up
As the meetup drew to a closing time, I wanted to get our group pictures and one on one interviews taken care of. Three people graciously volunteered to be interviewed on camera. The group picture is below along with the link to the various pictures and interviews conducted.
As people left I personally handed them the final gift from Rolife. a Nanci Medal!!!
I personally thanked each person and told them how special the medal was. its not for sale anywhere and they are hard to come by.
I was left with the feeling of gratefulness. The honor I have to represent Robotime in my community, the feeling of common spirit shared by everyone attending all crafting at the same time is one that I cant adequately put into words.
In this world of electronic communications, to have an event where people can get together, talk, and build together, is something so special! The interaction between new friends, and current acquaintances is sooo heartwarming!!! This being my second meetup, I left with the same feeling of such pride to be able to represent this wonderful company in this way. I have new friends, I introduced a new hobby to others that had no idea it existed!
Also my friends @kaegetbent showed up to support and participate. They are amazing and when walking around hearing everyone talk and ask questions, Kae could be heard expanding on what a wonderful company Robotime is and how the investment in community is like no other. They were truly a great representative of this fantastic company.
Finally, thank you @Robotime for the honor and blessing you have bestowed upon my community. These meetups have changed a lot of peoples lives including my own. Thank you.
