I paint and touch up edges as I go…Which can be a pain when dealing with a few colors…but that’s how I wanted it to look. On this particular model, it was a bit tough to do. You could even dab paint with a Qtip, though. Be careful when putting your flex pieces on. Sand tabs first and slightly stretch as you install them. Make sure that no paint is inside the places you have to insert them in to. Sand off if needed. @Tricia12
Thanks for the tips @Nita_Davis . It looks amazing.
You’re very welcome @Tricia12
I always paint the edges before I put it together @Nita_Davis @Tricia12 when the edges are painted I quickly put the pieces together and because the paint has not yet completely hardened it often slides together well without having to sand it, just make sure the paint is not too thick
Whatever works…I won’t insert pieces when wet for fear of messing up something that is already finished…but your work is flawless, so if it works for you…just keep on doing what you do. Seriously…you have your painting ‘spot on’. @Liset
Thank you @Nita_Davis Everyone has their own way of working.
The paint often dries quickly, so it doesn’t messing up when I assemble it. You’re always a huge inspiration to me. ![]()
@Nita_Davis and @Liset These are great things to know. I would have painted, let it dry, and then nothing would have fit!
Everything will be just fine. Keep the faith. You got this! @jeanneL
be careful not to apply the paint too thickly then it will be fine and if it still doesn’t fit, use @Nita_Davis tip and sand the ends that need to be pushed together
I sill definitely post when I get it
I’m looking forward to your build.
This one is done already
i made a post of it. This afternoon i going to give it to my niece ![]()
