👍 [Pro Tips] Test glow in the dark acrylic paint

@jeanneL for the guitar, I would suggest using a regular cheap acrylic paint. I have put nail polish over something at the very end to make it shiny. Gloss paints are not very good for brushing. Flat paints are much more forgiving with brush marks and those really bother me

When putting on the first layer of acrylic, do you put on the same color as the G.I.T.D paint or just white? for a better effect

Thanks @Nita_Davis
That is very helpful to know. I do not much care for brush marks either! and I am sure I have clear polish or red to top it off!

Thank you :hugs: the glow in the dark is less glowing in real life. The wite one looks brighter so i put a layer of white again, hopefully i see more glow effect now

So cool! I have also bought glow in the dark paint for my Halloween project but it doesn’t glow as much as yours do. I added two coats so maybe I will try adding one more like you did

Nice! I’m curious what you’re gonna make for halloween  My glow-in-the-dark isn’t as bright as in the photo either. Somehow, the photo gives off a bit more glow.

It’s not Rolife-related so I’m not sure if I can post it here hehehe it’s a work in progress and kids are going crazy about them.

This guitar looks amazing. How did you do it like that? :star_struck:

You can make posts that are not rolife and rokr related  I’m very curious about your work

Thanks! I painted it grey first @Tricia12 Then I used a piece of crumpled up foil. I would dab it in my paint , then dab some off on a sheet of paper, then little bits of it on to the wood. I used red, white black and silver for dabbing. I do most all of my painting before assembling.
