I am working on my first Robotime morotised project and I just did the test and everything seems to work… but the motor is making quite some noise. I disassembled everything and added extra wax, but the problem persists. Is this sound normal or is something causing friction?
Also, the little cups are sliding on the floor a bit. But don’t think this can be helped..?
Don’t want to continue assembling it if there is indeed something that should be fixed. Any help/tips are welcome!
welcome to the community @ElkeNoof . I have done a few mechanical kit and that noise from the engine is normal. I believe once the music is in, you won’t hear it
Welcome to the community @ElkeNoof . I have built this one as well and I think this noise is normal. Once you add the music and you get further in your building process you won’t hear it that loud anymore.
As far as I can judge by the video you added, you did a great job so far and it is running very good.
Hello, I have carefully watched the video and listened to the sound. This sound is completely normal. If the motor is faulty, it usually makes gear slipping noises which are much louder than what you heard in the video.
Hi everyone, thank you so much for the warm welcome and all the help!! Good to know this is normal and will fade to the background once everything is put together. I can now continue building it without thinking I did something wrong It is a lot of fun, looking forward to the end result
Oh, and yes I noticed the rubber band is missing in that video, forgot to add it in the second assembly. So reassembled it again and now everything is where it should be
