Update: Dream Gift Factory, noisy gears?

She’s moving and working well…

Although I find some of the wood a little crooked, I had to adjust a bit but it’s coming together. Hopefully it won’t take me too long to troubleshoot again :stuck_out_tongue:

Also the music I don’t know if I like it yet :joy:

The engine will make a little noise but not too loud.

Oh I’ve actually never seen the insides of this before! Quite interesting!

@JDisaduck It’s so satisfying to actually get it working, I am on page 15/50 now and the mechanics is so cool!

@Robotime whoever designed this is awesome!

I had to shimmy and move one part around to make it move better!

These key parts all need to be waxed and gently run in; otherwise, they may easily get stuck.
This also applies to the conveyor belt assembly later on.

Ahhh I can’t wait to make this. It’s probably going to be after Christmas but who cares hahaha. It definitely a clever design.

So things are not smooth and you need more wax

@CustomerService @ThaoNguyen

I am in a cold room (winter here rn) and the wax needed to be slightly melted with a hair dryer and it works perfectly now! Thank you for the encouragement and support you guys <3

In the meantime, you have already made a lot of progress, I saw in the next post  You can also turn off the music by pressing the on/off button once briefly.

i’ve already reached this point, the wheels spin, the music plays and the lights light up but once it rotates to a certain point it gets stuck. do i have to pull everything apart just to wax it? i don’t even know where the problem area is, and i’m scared of pulling it apart and then messing up the steps to put it back together

Glad that it is coming together!
Just looking at the gears makes me say to myself that I can never get to do this.

Keep it up!

Waiting for your end… planning to have this for my brother as housewarming gift…

i used talc powder to help with the friction! sometimes its better to dismantle if you can. If not a long fluffy brush and talc can help get into the tight spaces

Wow the mechanism looks so complicated and full on. Pity we can’t choose the music it plays.. I will eventually make this kit i think it is pretty cool.
