LKA02, Space Shuttle

I have assembled the kit. The test of the electrical parts was OK. When I now press the Start button the shuttle goes into the upright position and then the motor drives it back slightly. Nothing else happens. HELP!!!

Thanks

Welcome to the community, @Pedro!

I’m sorry you’re running into trouble with the Space Shuttle, that’s always frustrating after getting so far. If you can, it would really help if you could upload a short video showing what happens when you press the Start button. Seeing the movement usually makes it much easier to spot what might be going on.

I haven’t built this kit myself yet, so I’m not confident enough to guide you step by step, but I’m sure @CustomerService can jump in and help you properly!

Welcome to the community! I’m sorry I haven’t built this yet but I know a lot of people have asked questions about the space shuttle.

So you’re welcome to use the search function while you wait for Customer Service to reply. Otherwise @Martins_Assembly_H makes some cool videos and he’s working on the Space Shuttle at the moment so his videos might just help you out.

Then it is not pressing the t3 switch that is placed at the bottum of the arm the moves the shuttle. Did you mount part c14?

welcome to the community. Sorry I haven’t build this yet so I couldn’t help you. I hope @CustomerService can help you.

To me it sounds like you need to reset it. Have you completed the whole model?
So this is not an actual issue, it’s just that you need something to turn the switch on that’s at the back of the support at the bottom, so where the rocket would be sitting on. Because when the supports are retracting, so going back to a vertical position, there needs to be something to push the switch once the cycle has been completed, and C14 piece here is your friend to do that, if you haven’t completed the whole model that is.
So unplug the model from mains, plug it back in (that resets it), then push the start button once, let the rails come out, then put C14 in the place and hold it there with your finger gently and push start again, and hold C14 in place until it has reached the vertical point and has turned the switch on.
See the video here I posted. Go to the 35:47 mark where I’m explaining the test: https://youtu.be/9WuPIKenZT4
I hope that helps

Aww thank you so much for the mention, it’s much appreciated  And I was literally explaining this test in my today’s part 3 I released, so that’s handy  Fingers crossed it gets all sorted.

Welcome to community @Pedro . Sorry I can’t help you because I don’t have this kit. So you can upload video, everybody can help you. Or you can ask @CustomerService

Hello there,

We’re sorry for the trouble with your product. Could you please send us a short video showing the issue? Our team will check it and, if needed, send you free replacement parts.

If it’s an assembly problem, we’ll guide you through the steps.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I have tried this but C14 does not touch the switch. I have tried bending the switch arm but it just does not touch C14.

Hey. Yeah from the video it looks like your C14 isn’t touching the switch at the back. Could you send me a private message and send me decent quality photos of the rocket support where the switch should be, I want to see how it’s installed so I can try and help you out further

The C14 auxiliary component must be installed in this position.

the T3 switch cannot be pressed tightly, which causes the landing gear motor to fail to stop—resulting in the malfunction shown in the video.

Thank you everyone for your advice and help.

After much head scratching and under breath mumbling I found that there was nothing on part C14 that would actuate the switch T3.

Using my engineering and model making experience I managed to make a part that has done the job.

Thanks again everyone.
