Please help! We have loved building this kit, but seem to have hit a snag. Our shuttle slides all the way out just fine - it’s beautiful. But once it reaches the end, it kind of shakes for a second, starts working it’s way back, but then stops after just a second. It only retracts a slight bit and then stops and we can’t get it to retract the rest of the way.
We have tried waxing and adjusting the metal piece. Any other suggestions? Or could it be a bad motor? Please help, we have loved building this, but are SO frustra
Have you tried putting in part C21 or C19? (I think that’s the number) It tells you on the page for trouble-shooting. It has been a while since I did this one but I had no issues. I hope you find the source of your problem.
We’re sorry for the trouble with your product. Could you please send us a short video showing the issue? Our team will check it and, if needed, send you free replacement parts.
If it’s an assembly problem, we’ll guide you through the steps.
Hey. The first thing I see is that your switch is bent. You’ve got to try and straighten it out because when the rails pull out, that switch marked No.1 should lie/sit on top of the wooden piece No.2 that I’ve marked from your photo, because once the rails pull out as far as they should, that switch lies on top of that wooden piece correctly and gets depressed, and then it sends a signal to the controls board to tell the motor to stop and be ready for the next phase. And I suspect that the switch kind of slides at the front of that wooden piece when the rails have pulled out instead of sitting at the top of that wooden piece. And what your rails are doing just now are they are wanting to keep going so pull out continuously because there’s nothing to stop them, but thankfully an internal fail switch is working to prevent any damage.
Aww thank you so much for your kind words, it’s much appreciated and it’s my pleasure. If I can help people out to make their models work, then I’m happy
