Horizontal Arm Issue - Space Shuttle

I have a few issues with my Space Shuttle build. First is that while the horizontal arm will swing open when the switch is pressed, it will not close after it is pressed. With this, you’ll notice the lights also do not work underneath but they do other places. The second issue is that if I try to perform the moves again, the only way to actually get them to work is to unplug the unit from my power source and plug it back in, otherwise the bottom portion will only go back a few seconds and then return to its home position. I’ll keep trying to attach a video, it says my original video is too large of a file.

Have you tried inserting part C14 as noted in the troubleshhooting section?

The problem isn’t the vertical component, it’s the horizontal one.

Are you sure that all of your gears are lined up properly from page 18 of instructions? Also, the direction of the switch from page 20…all of the stuff written in red?

It randomly decided to start working after 20 failed attempts. Lights are even working now, too. So strange…! Thanks for your help anyways, Nita!

I have had my fair share of problems with this build too. Midway the build I tested it according to the manual, everything seemed too heavy for the motors to handle, I had to assist it to fully complete the cycle.

I have the luck to have a Brand Store in my town, so I went there for assistance. According to the employee it was a common problem, and when fully assembled, it should work like it is intended to be. And it did, well, for me at least.

I did love this build a lot though!

I always have trouble attaching files. It’s really frustrating. Robotime suggests uploading your video to YouTube and then you can load it in this app.

Hello,
Based on your description, we judge that it may be caused by the T2 switch not being pressed normally. We recommend that you try the following methods to solve the problem:
Find the spare H40 on the K board and replace it with the original H40.
Bend the copper piece of the T2 switch to make it easier to compress.
