As I build more, I start to see a lot of similarities. This wall looks much like some of my other nooks!
I am a gluer as well and have had things slide after I thought all was well. Some times I have been able to carefully remove and adjust. Other times, big rips in paper. I find if I gently slide something between, I have better luck.
Either way this is coming along nicely and it is looking fun!
I like to think of them as learning experiences!
Oh dear…all of the time spent making sure those stickers were perfectly aligned and now the edges are covered…LOL! It seems to me as if that double sided tape is pretty tacky. I will used just a tiny bit of regular white glue if I feel like I need to align something perfectly. Anyways, It’s all coming along so nicely.
Tell me more about those similarities! That made me curious.
I actually tried to slip something thin between the paper and the wall, but I almost broke the paper so I instantly stopped and gave up ![]()
I knew you were gonna understand the feeling
nice tips though.
Thanks for your comment!
It is with the book nooks. Some of your wall things are similar to another I built. Also for my Amusement park, one of the walls is very similar to the toy store street one. I dont know how else to explain. They just strike me as similar, which would make sense. Why reinvent the wheel when you can change up colors, patterns, themes.
I could be completely off.
I always keep glue on hand when I build.
Thank goodness for glue right?
It’s coming together nicely. Have a good weekend Eloy!
Sounds interesting and it makes a lot of sense! After all they’re all (well, most of them) the same shape and size.
That’s one of the most clever things to do while building a kit imo ![]()
Great post. This book nook is very nice.
Thanks a lot! Can’t wait to get my hands on it again.
Oh another fun story to read
Sorry about the broken parts and stickers (glue ones xD)
I’s giving me the OCD problem vibe as i really can;t look at those xD happily they are on the site so will not be so visible. About the eagle part i can teel you when i have those parts i usually use a sand paper to remove excessive wood from those to be loosen up (they go perfectly to the holes and then I just use a strong glue to keep them in place. This way of processing allowed me to save many delicate parts
Thanks a lot for your kind words!
Yeah, me too so I’m glad it won’t be THAT seen ![]()
Taking notes from your tip. Appreciated!
Hey TheToday, that first wall looks absolutely charming already! I love how you’re bringing the romantic Venice vibe to life step by step. Keep sharing your progress, we are all excited to see this cozy nook come together!
