Cuckoo stops coming out after working fine for 1-2 days

I assembled this cuckoo clock about a week ago, and it worked perfectly for the first one to two days. The cuckoo emerged on the hour at least twenty times during that period, so a mechanical defect seems unlikely.

However, yesterday the cuckoo began to struggle to come out of its house. At times, it would suddenly work again after I manually slid the door open. Unfortunately, the issue worsened today, and the cuckoo now fails to pop out more often than not. When I press the step, I hear a repeated clicking sound, as if the mechanism is repeatedly trying to push the cuckoo out but is unable to do so.

I am unsure whether this is caused by a misalignment of the gears or the spring mechanism inside the cuckoo’s house. I have already fully assembled the clock, including the roof. Could someone advise which components I would need to disassemble, at a minimum, to access the cuckoo’s house and check whether the internal gears are properly aligned?

Separately, I purchased this cuckoo clock from the Robotime official store on Shopee, rather than directly from their website. Would I still be eligible for replacement parts if they are required?

Welcome to community.
Have you checked the power source? Sometimes that could be the cause, as it was working fine initially. Or you can ask @CustomerService for help.

Welcome to the community @Ng_Jun_Yan . Just wondering if you use battery or USB-C? The brand is very good with aftersale customer service. They will be able to help you for sure.

I pushed all the connectors to the battery pack as far as they can go, and also pressed down both the red and yellow wires that connect the battery pack to the cuckoo’s house, just in case the mechanism is blocked by the wires. I’m worried that by pressing down both the red and yellow wires, could I have unintentionally loosened the connection to the cuckoo’s house?

I am using the battery pack with non-rechargeable carbon zinc batteries. The entire clocktower was not connected to any USB-C power source when the problem occurred.

The LED lights and light switch are working fine so I don’t think that the reason lies with the power source?

You should try with USB-C. Removed the batteries. Because when battery running low, the block don’t work properly. I was using battery but now its connected via USB-C cable then everything was working again.

Try the USB and see if that helps. The other thing is, and this is way back in the beginning. That spring! If it is not inserted correctly, it may have loosened. This could cause a similar issue. just a thought

The issue has been resolved! It turns out that the problem was the batteries. Now my cuckoo clock is working properly again with USB-C and can also work as intended using a new set of batteries.

Thank you everyone so much for your help. It saved me the heartache from the thought that I would need to disassemble and reassemble the roof again.

I’m really glad you were able to solve the problem and that in the end it wasn’t too complicated to fix!!
