I finally finished the cuckoo clock and everything is assembled!
The cuckoo comes out and the build itself was great fun.
However, I’m having an issue with the clock mechanism and I was hoping someone could help.
Problem:
The second hand works perfectly .
The minute hand does NOT move on its own .
I have tested it both with batteries and with USB power – same result.
When I manually turn the dial/wheel on the back , all the hands (hour and minute) move correctly and smoothly.
So mechanically it doesn’t seem to be blocked, but the minute hand won’t advance by itself when powered.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

So bad it’s not working properly. Did you press the small hand firmly into the rubber ring?
Hello there, Based on your description, it is possible that the movement has malfunctioned. It would be very helpful if you could provide a video. Once we confirm that it is a parts issue, we can send you replacement parts.

Welcome to community. Please check that the needle is properly installed; a loose or misaligned needle will cause it to move.

I am guessing the same thing…seeing as the hour hand moves properly. @ThaoNguyen

Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for all your tips and advice! I wanted to share an update in case it helps others.
After trying a few things, I found that gently turning the mechanism inside the module a bit helped to loosen it. Now:
The minute hand moves consistently
The clock keeps time correctly
The second hand still works perfectly
Manual adjustments work smoothly
It seems it was just a little internal friction or tightness causing the issues. Everything is working fine now!
Really appreciate all the comments and guidance — it made figuring this out much easier.
