My pendulum is swinging doesn’t hit the side. It is shining gently but for some reason it makes a clicking noise.
Are you able to post a video of the rear with the battery box open while it’s noisy?
If it is not hitting the stops then there must be another reason for your noise.
I ended up using the solution from Rod B….I flipped the magnet from the front of the pendulum to the rear. The speed and momentum immediately decreased and there is no more noise.
My initial thought of using a bumber on the axis did quiet the mechanism but the speed was to great. It is now silent with a slower swing.
@CustomerService might want to know that this solution worked for both of you. I’ve never done this kit so I cannot really comment on it.
Seems like you are a really knowledgeable person. I’m glad that you shared your knowledge because it looks like your solution has already helped a fellow builder. ![]()
I think it’s another issue. It is not hitting anything. As I mentioned, it doesn’t đó that from the beginning.
Maybe try removing power and just push the pendulum gently side to side and ensure it is moving freely. Check the pivot point for any wear or obstruction.
I have check everything and it is working fine. I had the 2 clock sitting side by side and check too. I had my friend’s clock that just recently build and mine was build a few months ago. Mine making a loud clicking sound but my friend’s one is not.
I have checked everything and literally everything.
@Robotime do you know what could it be?
What surprises me most is that this is clearly a manufacturer’s problem. This cuckoo clock has been around for quite a while, and now this problem has just arisen? Did you just switch to a new pendulum clock, and haven’t you tested it? I’m curious how this happened… And now that parts are being replaced, how am I supposed to install them? Break the whole piece off backwards? Not a great first introduction to ROKR gear. Oh, and the option to cut or saw something is of course very strange. These have a function (I hope)
I think this is what the cause of the noise with mine at the moment now too when I look at it closely. I’m going to add some foam for cushioning to see if it works.
Curious. Good idea.
Proving cushioning actually works.
Can you explain how and what you did, please?
I have made a post on this. Hope that helps.
