Tonight I have finished 3 more steps, even though it felt like 100 . But I can proudly say, I think I survived one of the hardest parts of this kit. Adding the springs and connecting the 2 frame parts with a lot of gears and other stuff in between.
I must admit that I cursed a lot while getting it done. I broke a nail, luckily no parts .
And now it looks like I’m coloring everything blue. But with the next step I will cover most of the one you see now and it will also be partially colored. So I’m still confident it will look the way I want in the end.
4 more steps and the clock is finished, I’m curious if I will do that in one sitting or perhaps 2.
For now I’m going to sleep and enjoy the feeling I got when the final piece of today clicked. Which was something like this:
Thank you! I’m glad too. When attaching the bigger owl parts together with the springs and gears in between, I really thought I missed a hand to do it properly. Since the springs were on the one part and some gears on the other part and none of them were really anchored in place.
So I needed to keep them in place, while looking how to fit both parts together correctly. It would have been easier if at least 1 of these parts would be attached properly so it could not come loose again while I was trying to connect the frames.
Minus_88, three more steps in one night is no small feat, your owl clock is really taking shape beautifully! That feeling of it being 100 steps for every 3 is so real, but you are pushing through like a champ. We are cheering you on for the next update!
