[Challenge & Achievement] Cuckoo clock - day 2+3

I have had two nights of building. But on day 2 I did so little that I did not find it enough to make a progress update about it. This evening however I did quite a lot.

I made the clockwork, the pendant and inserted all the electrical wires. So now the light and the clock are working.

The only steps left will be adding the cuckoo and finishing the rest of the build. Since tomorrow is a bank holiday and it is going to be a rainy day, I might do a lot of building and in that case I might even finish the clock.

We’ll see though. I do have some other chores at home that I need to be doing first, and I have dinner at my parents tomorrow so I will have to go there in time as well.

Here are some pictures of the kit so far:

This is a fun one, for sure…I found glue to be helpful when building the roof.

That sounds like such a productive evening of building! :glowing_star: Even if day 2 felt too small for an update, it’s clear you made some big strides today.

Hi @Minus_88, getting the clockwork, pendant, wires, light, and clock working in one evening is a real milestone. I hope the rainy holiday gives you the perfect stretch of calm building time to bring the cuckoo home!

Thank you @Robotime I was definitely in a good flow building last night. We’ll see if I get it done today

Thank you @Suzanne_Jones it is a fun one, not too difficult in my opinion. The pieces don’t feel too fragile. I think this will earn a spot in my selection of favorite kits.

Thank you @serenebliss_23 , I agree. I’m really glad I bought the colored kit. I really love the look of it. But who knows, maybe I get the blank one too someday to make my own creation of it.

Wow, you’re doing great!

Is it proving to be a challenge?

Because a lot of people are complaining that the cuckoo clock isn’t working properly.

The build itself is not too challenging until now. I still need to add the cuckoo though, so I hope I will manage to complete it and get it to work properly.

I had two instructions so far about the clockwork mechanism for testing and to add the clock hands to the kit. I hope that following those instructions properly will make it work like it has to in the end.

You’re welcome. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: Painting a kit will take a lot of time but the efforts are all worth it and your creativity will be challenged on how you will color it. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
