I started the owl clock today. The first steps are all gears, in all shapes and sizes and every single one needed to be waxed properly.
I need it to run smoothly.
Tomorrow I will continue my owl clock journey. Probably by adding the first color, I have made up my mind how I want it. Now I just need to determine which parts need coloring and which don’t.
Thank you! I have seen some posts about struggles as well, here and on Facebook . I’m taking it one step at the time and face it as it comes. Hopefully it will all turn out fine so I might be able to give some tips later
This kit comes with a little bar of wax in it. And I have some leftovers from other kits as well. Until now I did not have to use any of the leftover ones, I’m still using the one that was in the kit.
They do, they have already made me a little anxious of breaking something since I had made a small mistake. But luckily I could fix all without doing any damage.
They do indeed. I made a small mistake in assembling 1 of those, and upon fixing it, I was really scared I would break something. But I could manage without doing any damage
Yes, that is why I read my instruction 2-3 times before actually building each step. I made one mistake so far, so I needed to pull that one apart, and it really cost me some time, because once it clicked together or you added one of those round pieces to the little metal bar it’s very hard to get it undone without damaging something.
