Today, I have built 3 steps of my owl clock. I could have done more, but I preferred to watch a little television and go to bed in time, because the week is just starting .
These 3 steps were the pendulum that will be on the side of the owl and we finally started building the main frame with the owl.
The next steps will be building further on that frame and adding the gears I made preciously to it.
As you can see I started using a little color. I find it hard to determine which parts to color and which not based on a picture I found of just the front . So I’m just freestyling a little and trying to find a balance between color and the wood color itself.
I also made a slight difference in color to the example I found. I will use white just like she did, but instead of the grey, I will use the light blue you can see in my picture. It’s maybe less realistic but I think the combination of white, light blue and the bare wood is very beautiful.
Tomorrow I will not have time to build unfortunately. So next update is to be expected on Wednesday.
Not all of them. It will look like this example I found on Facebook. I like the contrast between the color and the bare wood, so I will be selective on what I color and what not.
It is wonderful to see your progress on the Owl Clock and I love that you are taking your time to enjoy the process. The touch of color you added to the gears looks fantastic and really makes the frame stand out. We can’t wait to see how the pendulum and the rest of the owl come together in your next update.
Thank you so much. Until now everything went rather smooth. I will get to the more difficult parts soon, let’s hope that i can get through that without too many struggles
Thank you! Let’s hope I can get through the difficult steps without too much trouble. And I need to take my time to so I can determine correctly which parts need which colors and which parts are better left bare wood.
