Very glad you got it figured out! Remember they do recommend USB over batteries. And if doing USB, remove batteries.

Luckily, it was the batteries that weren’t good. I’ve had mine running on batteries for about 3 or 4 weeks now, and it’s still working perfectly. I’m curious to see how long it will last on batteries.

I’m glad you got it resolved. It happens to me too. So I end up just using usb-c power source rather than battery.

Mine lasted about 6 weeks. I now have it on USB
