Hello, @alicef! Welcome to the community!
I haven’t built the Dream Gift Factory myself, so I’m not sure how to help you properly, but I’m sure @CustomerService can assist you. Hope you get it fixed soon!
Welcome to the community @alicef This might be a silly question, but did you briefly touch the iron spring? This is the on/off button, which you have to touch first before it will do anything. The electricity seems to be fine.
Hi Liset, thank you! Yes, I connected it with the USB-C cable and I also pressed the iron spring as you suggested, but it still doesn’t turn on. Any other idea on what I could try?
I would be absolutely sure that the power cord you are using works properly and fits properly. Some of these take USB C and some of them take a slightly larger one. I’ve had this issue before and sometimes it is the charger that it is plugged into. I hope that you can find your problem because this is an amazing build
This issue is likely caused by a malfunction of the circuit board. Please note that the EAB01 is not recommended to be used with fast-charging power adapters, as this may easily damage the motherboard.
We can arrange to send you a replacement set of electronic components so that you can try replacing them.
Welcome to the community! I’m so glad to see more people building the Dream Gift Factory, I’m up there assembling the top floor now and it’s a beautiful and exciting crafting journey. I hope you can solve the issue with the help you’re receiving! Gladly I haven’t had any problems with the electrical components so far, but sadly that also means I’m not sure where the problem can be.
Thanks so much for the tip! The first time I actually touched it super lightly but it didn’t work, so later I tried pressing it all the way down since I wasn’t sure how it was supposed to be done
No, it’s just my second set so I didn’t think about that. So you do all the electrical connections before assembling? I will use this tip for the next times, thank you very much!!
Yeah, you should! Actually most of the kits with electronic components, as far as I know, prompt you to do so in the manual. It does prevent further issues but it’s best to keep doing so as many times as you feel sure about.
For example I’m building my Dream Gift Factory now, and while the manual prompts you to test it a few times along the way, I’m pretty sure I’ve tested it like 20 times more than that you’re never too cautious.
