“My most unforgettable Mail Day arrived just a few days before my birthday.
A close friend had asked me for a few photos of my dog weeks earlier, but I didn’t think much of it.
When the package arrived, I carefully opened it and found a beautiful watercolor painting of my dog, painted entirely by hand.
Every little detail was there~ the fluffy ears, the bright eyes, even the funny expression he always makes when he’s waiting for treats.
I was completely surprised.
It wasn’t just a birthday gift. It was something my friend had spent hours creating just for me.
Today, that painting hangs on my wall, and every time I see it, I’m reminded that the most meaningful gifts aren’t always the most expensive—they’re the ones made with love.” :yellow_heart:

My favorite mail day I’ll never forget was when I entered a competition on the book nooks subreddit that was sponsored by ROKR. I had chosen the Parachute Tower to build and was so excited being my first mechanical build ever. My anxiety was on a level 200% lol

It came and I couldn’t believe I was challenging myself to actually do this kit! I am not good at mechanical kits. Period. Gears and me do not work. Boy did this put me through the wringer man. I decided to color it and took my time. But honestly, I still couldn’t get it to work. Weeks of building, patience, and lots of cussing. I took two weeks off and came back to it. I finished it but broke some pieces in the end. But that’s ok! It came out beautifully and now stands as a reminder of achievement over self imposed limits. Growth exists outside of our comfort zone.

No, I didn’t win anything either lol I was disappointed but I learned more than a gift from ROKR could have ever provided! It sits in my office now like a trophy to me.

My most memorable mail day was my first (and only) Christmas away from home. I was 19 years old and had moved to a new city. I had to work on Christmas day, so had to return the week prior.

On Christmas Eve, there was a knock at my door. It was a UPS driver with a very large box.

My mother had sent a giant care package, planning it perfectly to arrive on Christmas Eve! Inside were two hand crocheted afghans, two loaves of her homemade bread, and a tin of her homemade chocolate chip cookies! It brought me to tears knowing how many hours she had spent to make my Christmas a little less lonely.

@Mark_Rudnik thank you thank you. I think it should have won a prize or something but it’s ok. I still love it.

My “mail days” were back when I was a little girl—before mobile phones were common and hardly anyone used home computers.
My school friends and I would exchange addresses and send each other Christmas cards.
I loved sending and receiving those cards; it was so special!
It’s a shame that the tradition of sending letters on pretty, scented paper—or physical Christmas cards—has been lost.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos; my mother keeps them at her place.

One of my favorite mail days was when I received the 1912 Eternal Atlantic Voyager. I won this kit from the New Year’s giveaway and it was the first kit I had won from a contest in the community. I was super excited for it arrive since I didn’t have any kits in my backlog at the time. It really made my day when it finally arrived and I got to open it. In general, I always check the mail when I know I have a kit coming. It’s so exciting finding a cool surprise in the mailbox every now and then.

Those were the days! My 20 yo son loves to type letters and send them in an envelope with a wax seal. He’s a bit old fashioned and I love it!

That era is wonderful! I loved it.

My favorite day of receiving a letter, one I’ll never forget, was when I first received the award from this community. I was quite nervous and anxious. I couldn’t believe I’d actually received it. And when it arrived, I was absolutely thrilled.

For me personally the best Mail Day Alerts are the ones that arrive from winning a competition because usually i just forget i entered the competition until i get a message that i have won

the very best one this year was me winning tickets for Katy Perry in Antwerp, also because i forgot i entered that competition

i just think this is just how my head works, i enter competitions and then just forget because of how busy my life is

The package that is most memorable to me is the Wooden Flower Basket. I remember being so excited to start building it the moment it arrived. After building several solo flower kits, I had been wishing for a flower basket, so finally getting one felt extra special. I already knew exactly where I wanted to display it even before it was delivered. The excitement was so real that as soon as I opened the box, I couldn’t wait to start and finish it. Now, I am always reminded of that moment since it is displayed in our living room for our visitors to admire.

My most special mail day was receiving this Nanci medal. It was the first thing I won after discovering this community and all the wonderful people who are members. I’ve learned so much since joining and its the only group I’ve ever been apart of where I’m never hesitant to share my thoughts, questions or creations. So this metal symbolizes friendliness and community support and I’ll always treasure it.

My most unforgettable Mail Day has to be the day my Rolife London Tour Bus arrived. :bus::yellow_heart:

It wasn’t just another package on my doorstep. It was the very first prize I had ever won from Robotime through the Joy of Building Memories contest. I was so excited, but I knew right away that I didn’t want to build it by myself.

Instead, I waited until I could build it with my two kids, Cia and Jerice.

It was also our first 3D wooden puzzle, so everything was new to us. Cia became our official instruction reader, while Jerice happily searched for the pieces every time we called out a number. We laughed over little mistakes, celebrated every completed section, and even turned the tricky-to-read piece numbers into a fun scavenger hunt.

What I thought would be a simple model kit became one of our favorite family memories.

More than building a beautiful London bus, my kids learned something special too. They learned that great things take time, that patience really does pay off, and that working together makes every challenge easier and a lot more fun.

Now, every time I look at our completed London Tour Bus, I don’t just see a miniature. I see the laughter around our table, the teamwork, the proud smiles, and a day spent creating something together.

That package didn’t just bring us a new kit.

It delivered a memory our family will always treasure. :yellow_heart:

My most (recent) unforgettable Mail Day was in November last year! :wrapped_gift:

Last October, my cousin was in Vietnam and sent me photos of so many Rolife kits he found at a mall. He remembered I liked building miniatures (I wasn’t obsessed yet then - at least I don’t think I was) so he wanted to show me his ‘discovery’ :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

And because he asked if I wanted something… I think you all know what my reply was  So, these are the kits he sent me. Photo courtesy of my cousin. :christmas_tree::sparkles:

That Mail Day was extra special because it arrived around the first week of November - just before Christmas. I managed to finish both builds in time to display them for the holidays, which made the season feel even more magical.

Opening that package was such an exciting moment—it felt like Christmas had arrived early! Those two kits will always remind me of my cousin’s thoughtfulness and the joy of building them during my favorite time of the year. I’m secretly hoping he goes back soon so he can bring me more.

I still smile whenever I look at them.:package:

That sounds like a perfect mail day! @Gidge

I think my most amazing mail day was when I received my prizes from the 100,000 fans giveaway on Instagram. I had never even had an IG page..but I figured out enough to get on and get my entry in. I was shocked to find out that I won. Gifts were the Seahorse Barque, Dream Gift Factory, Swings Ride and the Parachute Ride. It was like an early Christmas. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
