Hi folks ![]()
Just curious —
what was your very first Rolife / ROKR kit?
And if someone here just finished their first one and is still pretty new…
which kit would you recommend they try next?

Just curious —
what was your very first Rolife / ROKR kit?
And if someone here just finished their first one and is still pretty new…
which kit would you recommend they try next?
Mine was Holiday Garden House - and it’s still one of my favorite builds ever. It’s just such an adorable scene with the cozy chair and little red boots. I always recommend it to new builders, as it’s relatively straightforward but absolutely charming.
My first Rolife is DG105 - Jason’s Kitchen
My first ROKR is Luminous Globe
Oh, my first kit… The one and only Seahorse Barque!
This picture is from when I built it in my previous home:
And after a dangerous journey through wild and stormy seas, it made it to my new apartment!
I didn’t even remember I actually created my first topic here about it last October after joining the community.
It was a fun and challenging build as a first one! But I’m just a ships and pirates lover and I couldn’t help it. That’s also how I found out about the brand and, eventually, about the community ![]()
What a journey. ![]()
Oooh I love this question!!
I went all in with Sam’s Study, the old version! And I enjoyed it so, so much that I’ve basically been hooked ever since. I remember being completely amazed by all the tiny details and thinking, “How is this even possible in something so small?” ![]()
It was the perfect first kit for me because it felt immersive and cozy, but still manageable. From that moment on… there was no turning back ![]()
For someone who just finished their first kit, I’d say: pick something that makes your heart skip a little. That’s what makes the magic happen ![]()
Mine was the Sakura Densya Book Nook. Bought it because of my love for Japan. Still pretty.
If I will recommend they try next, will be the A cabin. I think this is so unique with all the miniature houses design.
This is beautiful. I actually got a lot of recommendation about this kit as I am also collecting some book nook.
The final effect is really charming and I recommend it, highly! No matter how many more complex book nooks I make, it’s still my favorite. ![]()
I received three kits for Christmas and being practical I looked at the difficulty level of each and completed them in that order.
My first was the Cocoa store and then I did the Garden House.
I loved those two although I struggled a bit with the stairs inside the garden house.
This is still one of my favourite builds I’ve done (my second one) but those stairs made me swear quite a bit
Most of the owners of Dream Gift Factory really do like this kit even though it was kinda challenging for them
@Robotime mine was the post office kit i loved it i got my aunty one to ! Now she wants another kit ! Keep it in the family they say ! I love sharing my kits especially with my grandaughter !
My first kit was the Falling Sakura booknook! I got it from my local Michaels and couldnt put it down. 6 hours later and I finished it in a sitting. It brought me peace and a sense of being proud ![]()
I havent left since ![]()
Now Im 3 booknooks away from the entire collection ![]()

That is really a beautiful kit. Your story fits the saying “Waves don’t break me—they shape me.” Haha
My first Rolife kit that I’ve completely finished is the Super Creator Golden Wheat Bakery.
I love every details and cuteness of the kit.
For a beginner, I would recommend building the Rowood flowers and Super Creator kits since they’re easier to build. ![]()
Exactly! And it’s so beautiful, so… Unique. I may have enjoyed more builds more (like the Dream Gift Factory), but to this date, the Seahorse Barque is still my favourite finished one by far. So majestic!
This is the first one we got in 2022, you can put pencils in it, and i wanted this one because I like owls, my husband build it for me
Oh dear. My first was the globe. I think I made up more swear words than I even thought possible while working on it. I remember thinking that having 6 more hands would have been very helpful. Even though I struggled (a LOT), I was ready for the next challenge..and then another and another. 26 months later and I’ve just completed my 110th model. If I hadn’t started painted them, I would probably have well over 200 by now..LOL!
My first one was the garage. I really loved it and it isna great beginners type kit. My favourite one is difficult but i guess the A-frame cabine.
