Update 1: Monocular telescope

After a few hours of building, the first part is almost ready. I’m trying to keep it vintage-looking and give the painted parts some color variation. Because the gold color does not cover very well, it works pretty well. the copper color covers slightly better, so I can see less of a color difference. but I’m happy with how it turned out so far.

I just got home from Arizona where I went to an observatory. I was able to look through the Clark telescope which is 129 years old! It was a beautiful night and I was able to see Saturn!

Wow that’s amazing! My brother had a telescope when we were young and we always looked at the stars and the moon together :smiling_face:
