This is the first test. This test is only checking the gear function. You don’t hear sound until the sound on/off switch is installed later.
I was worried because the speaker was plugged in and I didn’t hear sound.

Please check if it is plugged in correctly. If it is correct but the speaker has no sound, you will probably have to contact Robotime for help.
No necessarily, she might need that on/off switch installed to complete the circuit for the speaker before it will operate… with just the speaker plugged in, and not the switch, it might just be an open circuit meaning the speaker wouldn’t run… theoretically anyway.. don’t know if that’s it’s for sure.
I hope the problem is as you say
Haha, I’m not saying it is!
Just that it could be, I’ve done some training as an electrician lol.. I’d just wait until I get the switch installed, and test before I’d decide there’s a problem lol.
Don’t worry. I thought that too and read ahead in the instructions. The sound worked when I installed the sound on/off switch.
There is not supposed to be sound in the first test because the switch has not been installed. The first test is just testing the motor.
I assure you, the speaker I have is good and works as intended.
You are correct. The speaker works when I plugged in the on/off switch. There is separate switches for the motor and speaker.
I tested it. The speaker is good and works as intended.
it’s great to hear that.
Yes, because the motor and speaker are run in parallel to the power source therefore they can be on the same circuit but run on their own independent switch’s! See picture of my line diagram!! ![]()

It’s good that we have someone with strong electrical knowledge on team. ![]()
Everything I know is from miniture building and trail-and-error.
Haha thanks! ![]()
I just nerded out a bit there! ![]()

I love these techmodels. Starting the manta ray tomorrow
I have learnt everything electrical I know from these kits ![]()
Everything on your test looks like it’s running smoothly ![]()
That’s a cool one. I can’t wait to see how it goes for you.
Wow interesting to see! It does seem sophisticated yet simple at the same time. These designs are so clever! ![]()
That looks amazing! You’re making great progress. I was also super confused with the wiring when I first started, my husband has helped me a lot with that part from the beginning. Little by little I’ve learned things along the way. You’re doing great! ![]()
I love this build. It is so fun seeing the team going around the tree.
The beginning looks good already, It’s always nice when it works well during testing. Have fun during the rest of the build
It’s great to see that your issue has been resolved. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us anytime.
After several adjustments I have it running completely free. I needed to tighten the orange O rings to stop the trolly from wobbling around and getting caught on the scenery.
It’s running really well now. Thank you for checking in. I’ll let you know if I have any further issues..
