I haven’t set them up yet, as they’re patiently waiting for a shelf that needs clearing first (you see, i’d rather build than clear out shelves ). This will be the new home for my son’s train book collection, a little archive of his childhood that I’ve been holding onto all these years.
It’s amazing how a small, intricate build can bring so much joy and anticipation. I can’t wait to finally place them where they belong and see those books lined up, supported by a century of miniature trains.
Here’s to a year of building, creating, and cherishing the small moments along the way!
What a beautiful way to start the year The bookends turned out amazing, and I love the meaning behind them. Such a special place for your son’s books. Here’s to many more joyful builds ahead!
I don’t think it’s heavy enough but it has extensions that are to be tucked under the books so that the weight of the books will keep it in place. I just need to make sure the books are thick enough to stand on its own and provide enough weight to do so.
Oh the extensions should do the trick then! If you’ve got multiple books lined up on it. When you get to reorganise the book shelf please update me I would love to see what it looks like with books in place.
