It’s been a while since my last build update. Life’s been busy and my first workshop is happening so soon, I just haven’t had the time! But building is an addiction so I can’t stay away for too long. I’ve still been busy working behind the scenes.
I bought this kit during the last Black Friday sale and I’ve got plans to change things up a little, so it’s finally time to get to work. I won’t go into the details of what’s in the box as a few members have already built and posted about it.
As with all customisations, changing the colours is a must, so that’s what I’ve been slowly working on. I’m gradually changing the orangey-brown chairs to a sky blue colour.
More painting. I think the overhead trellis is going to be a nightmare to paint. I’ll probably cheat and not paint the underside, I don’t think it will be visible anyway.
Oh nice! I’ve been wondering a bit about you. I’m sure you’ll do great in your event! Can’t wait to see how it goes.
Nice take so far on Cheers! This is the Miniature House I’ve recently built so I’ll be following your customizations closely. The blue take on the chairs and change of colour for the windows is interesting! It’ll have a different yet pretty nice vibe imo.
Regarding the decorative side panels… I guess I’m just calling those skirting boards
And look at that eclipse! Thanks for sharing we couldn’t see a grasp of it from Spain sadly.
I should probably take better progress photos. The cardboard background with multiple paint streaks doesn’t look the best. Thank you! I stole the photo off my sister.
A new Rolife build AND a custom paint scheme — so fun! That starry sky photo is absolutely gorgeous, it’s going to make for such dreamy color inspiration. Can’t wait to see what palette you pull from it!
Aww thank you! I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to change so fingers crossed. I’m starting to embrace any minor imperfections and just build things as I would like.
